BWB
« on: May 01, 2008, 01:45:22 AM »
I just recently had my bite baked and polished. It had 50 games on it at the oob of 4000 abrilon. I left it at 4000 abrilon and added polish, I am just curious if this is going to make it go to long? Should i have it 2000 abrilon with polish?

I had the work done last night and will not be throwing it till tonight.

specs:
pin above bridge centered.
cg kicked out right a bit
no extra hole
slower ball speed 15 - 16 med revs. 300 - 350

Thanks!

Uhhhh sorry don't have an answer for that, I
am really not into all the technical jargan.
My pro shop knows my game and fixes me up accordingly.
I live in Texas and as the summer approches our lanes tend
to dry out much quicker and i can't get the bite through the heads.
My guy said i should have no problem doing this to the ball, but
i just wanted a second opionion.

The MB is the Mass Bias, it's the other marking on the ball. Usually relatively inline with the pin and cg. On the Bite it's an oval with the letters HMB in it.

Either way, 4000 with polish will make it go longer than 2000 with polish. If you couldn't get it through the heads at 4000 then I'd stay with the 4000 and polish.

I would suggest you go throw it and that should answer your own question.

No sh** jackass, i was at work then and just wanted some input from people that have done this to the ball. Thanks for a worthless reply.

By the way, yeah at 4000 polished it did skate just a bit to long for me. It came roaring back causeing me to leave 6 stone 9 pins in a 3 game set.

I will be taking it down to 2000 i believe!!!
