CG Way out of line on my NIB No Mercy...what layout?
« on: March 29, 2007, 11:29:13 AM »
Specs are 15lb 3 oz 3-4 pin and 3 oz of top...cg is out of line to the left about 1 1/2"-2"

Going with Layout #1 will put the CG in or above my middle finger...may or may not be a problem

I will be double Checking the weights of course before Drilling so it may not be an issue after all but what have you guys done when you ran into this with your No Mercy's

Any Suggestions on what to do or another layout?

Place the PIN above your RING finger and turn the ball so the HART is about 2" left of thumb hole. The will have neg. side weight but that won't matter much.

negative side weight will matter if it's more than 1 oz... and i'm sure there would be with 3 oz of top weight...where would you put a weight hole on that side of the ball?

contacting hammer is probably your best bet. assuming that everything is marked correctly anyway...

Simple solution: Sell it to a lefty.

charlest is exactly right I had one way out of line.  Two things I should have done.......sell it to a lefty put my HART lower away from my thumb.  Hated mine.  My fault.

Jonathan Ng, using the determinator will not show you the position of the HART. Determinator will mark a spot on the other side of the ball.
Nothing wrong with the ball if the pro shop has any clue.  Besides maybe the person purchased the ball from the internet, if he had purchase the ball from a pro shop they would not give him a ball like the one he has.

FYI i did go to purchase one from my pro shop and he had the same thing come in with the one he got cg swung out way to the left...he offered to get another in but i decided to drill up a NV instead...i get great service from my pro shop, and YES he has a clue!

I did not "purchase" this ball online, i won it in one of Joe's raffles, nowhere in this post did i complain about it...i was just asking for opinions and looking for instances where this has happened before

THIS PERSON knows anything coming from the internet is a gamble...

THIS PERSON is also locking this topic as he has found the answers he is looking for, and wants this to go NO further...
