I saw this earlier today.  Hammer is going to take the Gas Mask core and combine that with urethane to make a pretty sick ball.  Take a look at the link below.

Ball layouts are further down the list of importance when it comes to ball motion. Surface prep is the most influential item by far when it comes to what affects ball motion. Dont worry so much about layouts.
Surface prep - approx 50% of ball motion
pin-pap distance - 25%
Core strength - 15%
layouts/tweaks - 10%
