Help with Cherry Vibe layout
« on: December 12, 2010, 08:10:59 AM »
Just picked up a nib Cherry Vibe and have a Nib Blue Vibe on the way. My pap is 4 1/2 1/2 up. My ball seed is 15mph rev rate 285-300 I normally swing the ball a bit. My hope is that I can drill these two balls so I can play a bit straighter than I currently do. Our home house has been medium dry to dry almost every week and my current arsenal consist of Power Swing, V2 Pearl, Gamebreaker, Full Swing ,and a Hardcore Grind all these balls with my ball speed force me left. I have attached a Video from a few weeks ago I cant throw it much harder without losing my control. The Cherry Vibe specs are 15.3 lbs. 2-3in pin top wt.3 oz. I hope someone can suggest a great layout for this ball. Thanks a bunch.

I have both the blue and the cherry. You'll find the cherry to be a milder even peral versus a skid-snap reaction. I use a pin up over ring, but not too high. My blue pin under ring and more midlane. I can't give much more detail because I don't drill but the guys here will help better. The pin up will give more length and backend when your blue started buring up.

Both are great, but with your revs and ball speed will still have hook to them. May also want to consider a Backlash.

My Midnight Vibe was great but still hooked more then expected and what I was looking for in that performance series.

…… you can't  add a physics term to a bowling term and expect it to mean something.

Is the Cherry more toward the 3 inch side or more toward the 2 inch side?
