New Raw Hammer
« on: April 08, 2006, 07:09:44 PM »
Not sure how accurate this is, but I know someone who receives stuff from Hammer often and he says that the new Raw Hammer ball will be a solid reactive version of the Doom.

He said it will be called the Devil Raw Hammer.

Again, this is a rumor I heard, could someone verify or deny this?

Looking online, it seems similar to the Result Raw Hammer, just with a lower differential.

Well, i dont know of that information, but i can tell you that i know FOR SURE what the next Doom will be for, and EXACTLY the color of the new ball.

The ball will be able to handle more oil...med-heavy.

The color will be a purple (most likley the purple of The One) mixed with a silver (similar to the silver mix in the Road Hawg)

Hey bowlerKidR how do you think that this new raw hammer will be compared to the Road Hawg?

i know that the cores of the new Doom is the same, so id have to say that it will be angular like the regular doom, but more of a smooth angle. Comparing to the Road Hawg, i dont know. If it is infact going to have a solid resin cover, id have to say that they will be quite similar with the Road Hawg being more strong at the breakpoint. But we will have to wait and see.

Don't think it will be the Devil Raw Hammer, I think it will be the Raw Hammer Pain.  Just saw it was released on the approved list this month.  Whatever it is, I will be getting it!!

Both the Devil Raw and the Raw Hammer Pain are on the approved list.  The Devil Raw was approved Nov. '05 and there is another color variant listed as approved in Feb. '06.  The Pain is listed as approved in Apr. '06 along with the Hawg Zilla.

"Normally" if something is on the approved list for awhile it doesn't get released mainstream.  They "normally" release it as soon as it hits the approved list.  That is why I think it will be the Pain instead of the devil, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.  My money is on the Pain.

I was told by a hammer rep this "Hammer will have a set of ball introductions in early June with a new ball replacing the Diesels, a new Raw Hammer, and a new Vibe.  The new Hawg will begin shipping in August." I can't wait.

Man, do you guys watch the approved list daily or what?

You guys always seem to know the new ball names before I do.

Typically Ebonite and Hammer have new balls approved in April for release at Bowl Expo in June.
