New to Hammer
« on: December 19, 2011, 05:01:43 AM »

Been out of bowling for about two years with a wrist injury. Just getting back into it and I need to upgrade my arsenal.I’m more of a power stroker / tweener. I can cover boards when I need to but for the most part I play around the track area.

Below are my specs:

Lefty

Ball speed: 16 -17 mph

Revs: 16

RPM's 255

Average: 206

Axis: Horz: 5 5/8, Left

Vert: None

Tilt: 20 degrees

Track: 10 1/2:”

I’m looking for more a tournament arsenal than everyday league. So the volume of oil will probably be higher with longer patterns. I do seem to struggle with those types. Can’t seem to get the ball to turn towards the pocket.

So what would the Hammer guys recommend?

GO ARMY  (Airborne all the way)
(Airborne Army 1SG all the way)

Being a lefty myself I and knowing what I struggle with on higher volumes of oil, I'd steer you towards the Taboo (solid) Brick, and Arson....    However if you can get your hands on a Jigsaw Corner or Raw hammer Jacked  they would be good too.

For the heavier oil you definitely need the Taboo solid in your bag. When the Taboo starts becoming too early on the lane and you need more downlane go with the Epidemic. For the medium type conditions add the Arson ($20 rebate right now on it on Hammer's Facebook page). These three balls should cover quite a lot conditions. Since you know all your specs if your pro shop owner has the Powerhouse Blueprint program you can get a better idea of the reaction you want out of each using this program before you drill them. Hope this helps and feel free to PM me any other questions you might have
