I drilled up the Big Block Diesel, Razor Blade, and the Vibe with the same layout. I put the pin 3 1/2 inches from my PAP (positive axis point) and the cg 4 inches.

I found the Vibe to work best on 2nd shift or light oil partterns. With the layout that I used, the ball was clean through the fronts, then picked up a midlane around 35 feet. The ball motion at the break point was a smooth arcing motion to the pocket. For 4 games on a 2nd shift lane condition, I average around 230, and I only had to move a couple boards throughout the night.

The Hammer Vibe is another solid addition to the Hammer line-up. When you need something for the low end, lighter oil conditions, make sure that you don't over look this ball.

My Oh My, this is the one all of us have been waiting for. This is a great addition to the hammer balls. I layed it out 5 1\2 x 4 1\2, this ball really clears the front and mid lane very well and is very predictable on the back end. This ball is also very good for when the lanes are broke down. This is definently and great addition to the line. Once again hammer has came through making the best. HAMMER NOTHING HITS HARDER!!!

For someone looking for either that "Entry Level" or Short Oil ball, THIS IS IT!!! The VIBE for me is my short oil condition piece. I placed the pin over my middle finger or "pin negative" with the cg being 1.5in from center grip. For me this ball on short patterns stores up so much energy and hits sooo hard, its crazy. I leave 8 pin after 8 pin. But at least its not a split. If your looking for a ball that gets through the head easy but still has "bite", then check out the Vibe!!

on fresh shot ball is smooth with fairly sharp backend. i was able to open up lane alittle, played 17 to 10 with very nice controlled reaction. after oil carried down i was able to move right and play 11 to 5 staying behind ball. never had to force through heads, easily cleared heads. i purchased blackice and drilled the same, vibe is about 3 boards stronger than blackice. i get a little more over-under with black ice. but overall, i love the vibe, it allows me to play straighter with less effort. i would recommend this ball for lighter oil conditions, with stronger drill prob. be great for medium condions as well.

Well, I now have 2 of these nugs and I guess it is time to review them.

I really have been waiting for a med. light/light oil ball from Hammer, and I believe BG has provided it for all of us Hammerheads.

#1- 4.5" Pin to CG distance. 5" Pin to PAP 75* Pin above and right of ring finger
--Used this ball on a summer PBA pattern league. Used it on Regional #2 pattern. I found that ball to work well AFTER the transition and the heads began to open up. I believe this ball will be very good on the THS shots around my area.

#2- 3" Pin to CG distance 5.5" Pin to PAP 60* Pin below and under bridge.
--Also used this in the same league on the same pattern. This one rolls a little sooner and is more arcy than the 75* layout.

This VIBE product is SUPER clean through the fronts and has great continuation on the backs. This is the ball that many of us have been waiting for. Both of these balls recover well on the dry, but don't seem to OVER react to the dry, unlike some of the past pearlized Hammer products.

For the beginner, or the advanced bowler looking for a ball to clear the fronts, this is definately a great addition to the Hammer line up.

Well after 2 league outings with the Vibe, I figured it is time to post a review. One word will describe it..........WOW. The Vibe goes extremely long and has a very hard arc on the back-end with great power thru the pocket. I had mine drilled straight up over the label with the pin above and between the middle and ring finger with the CG in my palm. Its roll kinda reminds me of the Faball Blue Pearl but with much more power thru the back-end. Its a great ball for 2nd shift leagues or toasty shots in houses where there seems to be an oil embargo. Vibe........goes very long, arcs hard, shreds the rack!!!!!!

I bought this ball a month ago, because one of my leagues has been using a lighter volume of oil lately and my RS-X has been too strong. I'm a 15mph stroker, with a 45' release. This ball is drilled with a basic label drill, pin ended up at 5" from PAP, CG in my palm. This ball is much stronger than I was expecting. I thought I'd be able to square up a bit with this ball and play around 10-7, but the reaction has been too strong. I was expecting a skid/flip reaction. But, this ball revs hard off the hand, holds it's line, as long as I don't get out too early, then SNAPS.I've been using it playing 15 at the arrows to 7 at the breakpoint and it's been money. This ball hits very hard. I haven't left a single 10 pin with it. Left a solid 9 that cost me a 300 on the 11th ball, but no complaints.

I have had this ball about a week now a quite a ball it is. I am a lefty that is a tweener with med revs and good speed.

Ball: 15lb 3-4 pin 2.5oz top Label drill with pin next to ring and cg in center of grip.

Two different house conditions.

First is wood on a THS med head oil to about 36 feet, med carry down and and flat backends. I played in a spot havent played in a long time. I was on middle dot throwing 10 at arrows going out to 3 and back in. Ball really rolls well. Gets through head with ease and also mid lane. Makes it move at about 50 feet strong move but controlled with excellent hitting power. My first set was 245,235,225 for 705 not astounding by any means but it was first night without grips as well have used finger inserts for 15 years and this was my first attempt without. So I was quite pleased.

Second was wood lanes with 40 foot flat pattern with fresh crisp backends. Had to play a bit tighter after i broke down line with big rig diesel. That said it was a local king of hill tourney to which i am now king thanks to this gem. My latter matches were 259-223w, 276-180w, 279-253w, 279-224 final match. The entire qualifier used big rig. I was standing on 12 throwing 8 to 5 with a tremendous move to hole but smooth no violent reaction to dry very readable.

Overall so far this is my favorite hammmer ball right now. This ball is great control ball with excellent hitting power on light to med condition just by straightening up a bit. great med to light oil ball. By far pound for pound best entry level ball on market.

All I can say is WOW

This ball really hits like a HAMMER. I got it to be a step under my THE ONE and it is just that.
It gets down the lane great and makes a nice smooth arc in the backend.
I bowled in a keystone tournament today with it and when everyone else was leaving Ten pins i was carrying better than anyone in the house....Great ball and will be in my bag for a longgg time.

My specs:
PAP - 5 1/4 by 0
Higher rev tweener

Ball is 15lbs 3oz top weight with a 4" pin.
Drilled it 6 by 3 with the pin above my middle finger.

In the OOB condition the ball was still a little to jumpy off of the breakpoint. We layed the ball out this way for dryer conditions and it was still a little more agressive than what I was looking for. The ball was still reacting well and hitting well though.

I then took the surface down to 4000 abralon and this smoothed out the reaction quite a bit. With clean back ends, this ball is very smooth and hits and carries extremely well. It has a nice smooth and continous move off the breakpoint and it has a lot of drive and power when it gets to the pocket. I almost never leave 7 pins with this ball unless the back ends are soft, but then this isn't the ball for soft back ends.

If you're looking for a ball for dryer lanes, this ball certianly fits the bill. Unlike other dry lane balls I've drilled up in the past, you don't have to hit high flush to carry.

Rolled this for the first time yesterday.

90 degree drill pin just above ring finger

Practiced after a sport shot league. 1 shift on them. oil was 40 plus feet. I expect this to go long but not nearly that strong. A lot of backend out of it. Was setting it down on 18 hitting 11 at the arrows out to about 6 and back. Thats pretty darn good for Hammer's #1 choice for dry lane condition. Especially when i tried something else and was having trouble making something work from inside 3rd arrow.

I tried to replace my well-performing Hammer "Nail" (after 8+ years, because of a broken weight balance!) with a Blue VIBE 2 years ago, when this ball first came out (at the time, nobody could tell me anything about what its performance would be):
After 1/2 season, I REPLACED it with a RAW HAMMER TOXIC because Lane Maintenance started oiling (maybe over-oiling?) our lanes just ahead of our Monday Night League at Poelking Lanes South, Dayton, Ohio. I quickly discovered
using a Blue Vibe on ANY AMOUNT of oil is "SHEER DISASTER" because THIS BALL CANNOT HANDLE OIL!

It may be a good "dry-alley ball" --- but on oil of any amount, FORGET IT!
