« on: January 17, 2005, 11:33:58 PM »
Hey ya'll.....I am getting a new Saw Blade today and was wanting some different drilling suggestions.....I work in a pro-shop, but would like to hear what some of the pro-shop guru's in here have to say.....It will be a 15lb.....2 1/2 top weight......3in pin.....In our house we have a med-heavy shot out to 38 buffed out to 42.....Oily middle with a wall down 10......want this ball to to really go long and turn the corner.....also shot I want to play would be 15 out to 8.....have med revs with med speed.....so shoot me some ideas here.....

What is your PAP?  A drilling that would go long for a high track player and a drilling that would go long for a low track player would be completely different.

To be completely honest I don't even go by my pap when drilling my stuff.....most of my stuff has label shift drillings with surface changes.....I was just looking for where you would put the cg and pin(pretty sure this one has a Low MB locator too).....plus the last ball I used my pap on has come to be my worst rolling ball.....and from what I have seen with each ball you roll your pap changes anyways cause of the differential surface and so on......

Wow Eric- you gave me plenty to work with in your first post and I was ready to suggest a drilling, but then you went and made your next post.

You cannot fine tune a layout without using your PAP.  You also may be drilling balls axis weighted if you do simple lable shifts and you are a spinner.

I can't really suggest much without PAP info.   And, it appears you don't use that anyway, so any suggestion I would make would be irrelevant.

GOOD LUCK.

Couple other points:

1.  There is no LMB on this ball as it is in the blade series and has a symetrical core.

2.  Your PAP doesn't change unless your release does.   Your PAP is an initial point, not a point after the ball is rolling.   RG, diff, surface....NONE of that will change your initial PAP.

Hope this helps.

Sorry just a personal note there......if a pap is needed here then mine is......3/4 down x 5 1/2 left.....that is my center of grip based off of a     3 3/8in stacked drilling on a Flipside Wow Pearl.....and I am a tweener(not quite a cranker LOL)....
