Buy a 12 pad combo pack (choose your grits) free shipping and it comes out to about $2.60 per pad.

ebay for sure, there are a bunch of sellers who have combo deals for insanely cheap. I got a pack of 5 pads for 15 bucks a while back, you can pick which grits you want and everything

I used to get them from Supergrit.com, but now I just get them off e-Bay; a little cheaper and you can mix the grits and get whatever quantity you need.

Looking on eBay, might go with Siaair instead. I use them on a ball spinner and just for myself. Says they last longer than Abralon.

Bowlingbeat.com also sells Siaair for the same price as Abralon.

Get my Siaair pads from Prosourcecenter on eBay for $2.65 a pad. You can mix grits as well. They have a website too, but there prices on ebay were lower last time i purchased some.

I got them last time from bowlpba300 (click the hyperlink) on ebay. I got a 12 pack for 33 bucks, free shipping. They have abralon grit levels 180,240,360,500,600,800,1000,1500,2000,3000,4000 which you can mix and match. I think you can add Sia Air pads in grit levels 240,600,800,&1500 in with your mixing according to the page, you'd have to ask on that. They sell higher and lower quantities than what I linked.

Also, if you are looking for some cheap, good, microfiber towels try djstreasuregarden. You can get 6 towels for like 7 bucks plus like 3 or 4 bucks shipping. Basically 6 towels for the price of 1 online.

google AB Gloves and Abrasives. usually a box of abralon (20 pads) will be about 50 bucks. they also have a mix and match deal for around the same price. no siaair though.

Without going to Ebay (I don't buy on Ebay), the only Siaair Pads I could find at a low price ( $2.55 each) when Googling for them was...

http://www.prosourcecenter.com/servlet/the-1648/Sia-Siaair-Hook-Loop/Detail

However, they are 5" pads and not 6" pads.

I use a 5" CAB with my 6" Abralon Pads and they hang over the edge of it 1/2" all of the way around the CAB, so they get no use there. So if I buy 5" pads for a 5" CAB, I am assuming this will work ok, will it?

It seems Grizzly doesn't offer all of the pads they once did and if tehy do, I can't seem to locate them on their site.

I would say the 5" pads should work just fine, maybe even better with me just using them on a ball spinner.
Thanks for all the replies, I think it not only helped me but a lot of people looking for Abralon or Siaar pads.

Jim,

Here's a search I did on Grizzly for "Siaair Velvet":
Siaair Velvet (5" & 6" pads)
Looks like almost all the grits are there. I did not check every one.

Be careful of ProSourceCenter. I ordered once from him last year via Ebay. Seems like his prices and product service are very good, his customer service sucks. My order was not delivered for 1, 2, then 3 weeks. It was sent USPS Priority Mail, with a Conf Del number. I asked him about it, via email 3 times with zero response from him. The package seemed to be stuck in Portland or Seattle. He never had the courtesy to reply or send a replacement. It finally arrived 4 weeks after I ordered. So everything was fine until somethign went wrong, then he fumbled on customer service big time.

I used prosourcecenter about 2 months ago.....bought 20 siaair pads for $53, and had a flawless shopping experience. I purchased through eBay and realized right after I ordered that I never selected any grits, so I called the number listed and spoke with someone who instantly pulled my order up and took care of it. He assured me they were going in the mail that afternoon. I received them in 4 days, and being in Alaska, that's pretty dang fast. Just figured I would include some positive feedback.

Thanks Jeff. I once was able to get that same/similar  page on Grizzly and also a similar page for Abralon pads but hadn't went to that site for a long time. When I went to the Grizzly site last night, I couldn't pull up a page even close to that no matter how hard I tried.

I finally ran out of Abralon pads except for one 360 grit and three 500 grit pads, but all my 1000-2000-4000 grit pads are used up and that is what I need, and wanted to try the siaair pads in thsoe numbers.

bowler001,

I wasn't posting just negative feedback. I said his prices and initial rapid shipping were all to the good. However, that ALONE is not what determines a good retailer/dealer. How they handle problems means a lot also. They handled mine badly, as far as I was concerned. Will everyone else's experience be like mine? No, because 95 times out of 100, there are no shipping or other problems. Heck, someone else might even get theirs handled well. But since I didn't, others may not also. Maybe they even lerned something from my problem. Who knows?

All I was suggesting was forewarned is forearmed.

I had good luck with prosourcecenter in the past, however I had no issues with them to be able to test their customer service. However, I know Charlest has no reason to bash any company, so I take his word for it. Like I said, I just dealt with bowlpba300 and had great success with them as well, so I don't think you could go wrong with either one. Don't overlook that microfiber towel deal I posted before too, they work great :). Head on over to Polishyourball.com as well and check out their Smart Pro abralon holder and their cloth bonets to put on to help you polish the ball. I've used all of this with my spinner and they work fantabulous.

I'm thinking of purchasing a combo pack of SIA AIR pads but don't know what grits to purchase.  What grits should I consider purchasing ?

No one but you can answer that question unless you tell us what balls you have that you want to change or refresh, if you kept the stock surface and how you want to change their reactions. The pads go from 500, to 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000, 4000 grits.

About 10 days ago i ordered a 20 pk of 3000 abralon thru suffolk bowling supply and more on ebay for $46.50. I received the order in 5 days. I believe they had siaair as well. The pads seemed ok to me.

Brickyard221, try the SmarT Pro from www.polishyourball.com. It works so much better than a CAD and the abrasive pad fits totally in the unit there by using the whole suface of the pad. It has a knob for holding onto so you don't need hands the size of the Shaq. You can use less water when wet sanding, reducing mess and with the polishing bonnet you can polish to varying degrees of gloss.

I ordered 12 Siaair Pads from ProSourceCenter last Thursday afternoon (Feb 9) and received them in 4 days, today (Monday Feb 13), so I am satisfied with their quick service/shipping. The pads were $2.05 each, but the shipping was a bit high, $.95 each but were shipped priority mail which probably made the shipping higher.

I looked on Bowling Beat's site and they have several grits of Abralon Pads, but show only one Grit (160 Grit) in Siaair Pads, thus I ordered from ProSourceCenter instead.

I forgot to mention that bowlingbeat.com has been working on their website for some time now.  If you place an order for abralon, you can send them an email and request Siaair pads and which grits you want.  You still got a pretty good price though.

I refurbished one of my two Gamebrekers Monday. I used the Siaair Pads taht I bought 3-4 weeks ago. This is the first time I have ever used Siaair Pads and I must say that WOW, they leave a really beautiful finish on the ball. The ball surface looked as good as it did NIB with out all of the deep scratch lines that Abralon Pabs and Sand Paper leave. The ball performed perfect. I am really happy with the finish they leave on the cover.

Man, there used to be a place to get them even cheaper than that. I want to say I got something like a dozen pads for like $25-30 plus shipping, and I could even mix and match what grits I wanted. I'll have to dig around to see. The prices provided in that link aren't terrible, but I know I wasn't paying nearly $4 a pad. If I find the link, I'll see if it's still active and post it.
