Title: Which one?
Post by: strikestriketapped on February 16, 2012, 08:10:40 PM
Looking for a 900 Global ball that will fit between my Onyx Vibe and The Nuts. The Onyx is drilled 4.5" pin to PAP, pin under bridge. I keep it at 4000 polished for my second shift Monday night league. I have The Nuts at 4000 abralon for heavier oil. Which 900 Global ball would be a good fit between the two? I'm not bowling any sport leagues this season, just a Friday morning league in which the lanes are stripped and oiled, with relatively clean backends and Monday nights where the lanes have open play on them and are dry compared to Friday mornings. So far, this is what I'm going with:

The Nuts
???
Onyx Vibe
Tropical Breeze

I of course have other balls, just want to keep it simple. I was thinking maybe a Hook (the polished solid), Wisdom, Jewel, or Favorite would all fit nicely. Thoughts?

The Wisdom is a great control ball should be slightly stronger than the Vibe. The Nuts Pearl I haven't thrown but should be closer to the Nuts but still between the 2. I would go with one of those.

As tdub said the Wisdom would be a nice step downfrom your Nuts.  Another option would be a Profit or the Double Clutch pearl from AMF

The wisdom or the hook would probably work.  The wisdom to me is pretty strong.  I like the hooks- the hybrid cover is strong but controllable.
