Title: Black Pearl Deep Sea
Post by: SVstar34 on November 10, 2013, 12:40:02 PM
Whats up with this ball? The previous Black Pearl's were all huge successes and there has really been nothing said about this ball. No videos or any reviews. I like the idea of having the weaker particle load

You need to check the last edition of Bowlers Journal in the ball testing section.  They really liked the ball and suggested that it may be the ball of the year.

I've tossed a sanctioned 300 with it in september. Good for carrydown but Bowlers Journal begs to differ.

where does yours fit Pat? I'd be considering it for the med-heavy conditions when I need something to give a strong move at the end of the pattern with still being somewhat controllable.

was it the November issue. All I have got so far interactive wise through email is the October issue and it was not in that one.

I'd just like to find out more about this ball. Finally started working again, so I hope to get 2 new balls around the new year.

I'm really interested in the Xtreme Damage Platinum, and I'm probably 95% sure on getting that. Was wondering if the Deep Sea would be a good step above the Platinum or if I should turn to something in the Lord Field line if I were to stay between those 2 companies.

The review was in the October issue In the No Holes Barred column.  I will try to attach the article, but I will give no guarantees that it will work. I can't attach because the file is to large.

Sorry for getting back to you so late.  I Was busy bowling the Senior State tournament today. Yesterday in Doubles was a 587, but today was a 714, so hopefully I'll get some money back.

In the medium to medium heavy category for me, has no trouble with carrydown.

Is the core from what you can tell similar in flaring potential as the older Black Pearl pieces? The older Black Pearls had very high flare potential. heck my weak drilled BPR still flares 5 inches easy. And I like that!

RG Diff for 15  lb. on the old one was .055"; on the new one, it's .052". No one will be able to tell the difference in performance from that difference.

Would this ball be a good choice for longer oil patterns 42-44 feet? If not the Deep sea then what? How would it compare to my New Standard which is a good medium ball but struggles with the fresh longer heavier oil patterns?
