Dream On review by mike811..The New 900 Global Dream On Hybrid what a complement to the Dream. This ball is amazing, I thought the Dream was strong this ball is at least 5-boards stronger. I laid this ball out with 5 ¼ x 3 ½ x 4 ¼, my PAP is 5 3/8 right and ¾ down. I drilled the ball with the pin slightly above and parallel to my fingers with the CG 1-3/8”” right and ½” down from Center grip. The MB was located directly below the center of my thumb and the weight hole was 5-3/8” right and parallel to my thumb. This is close to one of my favorite layouts and this ball is very clean through the front part of lane because of the hybrid cover and has a smoother transition than my Dream on the backend of the lane. I used this ball in two different houses on a fresh 41’ and 39’ house pattern. The Dream On allowed me start a little more left than the Dream and because it is an asymmetric ball as is the Dream it still retains that strong motion at the Back of the lane. This ball is extremely versatile and will fit all game styles from the high rev player to the low rev player. This is a must ball for everyone.

You know when you absolutely cannot wait for a bowling ball because you know it is going to be a monster, this is that ball!

This ball is an absolute beast that anybody who wants a ball that is strong enough to chew through oil but versatile enough to throw on multiple conditions should have in their hand.  I seriously cannot say enough good things about this ball.  It does not roll out, covers plenty of boards, and absolutely blows up the pins.

I drilled my Dream On with the layout 70 x 5 x 50.  This is a personal favorite layout for me as it gives me a nice strong read that is predictable.  It matched up perfect with the Dream On.

If you are reading this review you are wasting time and should have ordered one already!

900 Global's new Dream On - the hybrid version of the Dream the definitely the big brother of hook!  Drilled mine looking for a little mid lane and backend reaction: 55 degree angle 5" pin to PAP with a 65 degree VAL angle.  Lot of mid lane huffing and puffing type roll but it also saves some for the backend giving me a hard arc flip.  Surprised to see an easy 5-6 board difference in overall hook between the Dream and Dream because by no means is the Dream not a powerful backend ball.  The Dream On with the added hybrid cover is just more!

Could play as deep as I wanted on our THS without sacrificing any carry in the OOB finish.  Had to add a little compound polish to the cover in order for me to use for 3 games.  Polished I got a little extra skid and a ton of new found backend.  With the extra midland this one gives me it's really a beast on medium heavy to heavy oil.  Extremely continuous asymmetrical ball that performs at a high level.  Great addition to the Dream, 1-2 punch you must have!

I drilled my Dream on 55x5x50 my PAP is 5 1/8" over. The Dream On really read the mid lane well still retaining a ton of energy and giving me a strong down lane motion. A big asymmetrical ball that clears the fronts and retains energy isnt something you see everday! I found the dream on to be 6 boards stronger then my Dream! One of the biggest hooking balls out to date!

THE NAME MAY ALSO BE AEROSMITH'S FIRST HIT, BUT IT IS THE SECOND HIT IN THE DREAM LINE. ADD A 4000 GRIT COVER TO AN ALREADY AMAZING CORE, AND WOW! THIS WILL BE YOUR HEAVY OIL/TOURNAMENT PATTERN BEAST. RECOVERS FROM ANYWHERE FROM WHAT I'VE SEEN. DRILLED MINE IDENTICAL TO THE ORIGINAL DREAM, SO HAVING BOTH IN MY TOURNEY BAG MEANS I CAN HANDLE ANY OIL PATTERN THAT LAYS BEFORE ME. 750 SERIES OUT OF THE BOX WITH TWO NON POCKET HITS THE FIRST FULL NIGHT USING IT. ROLLS A LITTLE LATER THAN THE MOXIE, SO IT MIXES IT UP WELL. IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A BENCHMARK BALL FOR HEAVY CONDITIONS, PICK UP A 900 GLOBAL DREAM ON, AVAILABLE MID DECEMBER!

Dream On
Love this ball.  Great carry and energy in the pins for such a strong ball.   Great for medium to heavy oil lane conditions.  Not for dry lanes.  All styles will find a place for this ball.  Ball picks up strong in the midlane with a very strong move on the back.  Drilled 5.5 x5 no extra hole.  The Dream On is about 5 feet earlier and 5 to 8 boards stronger than the Dream, depending on the lane condition.

The new Dream On is a S74 Hybrid shell finished at 4000 abralon. It is designed for medium to heavier volume patterns. I put my favorite layout on the ball which is 45x4x65 and have left it OOB. The house shot that I bowl on is 41 feet in length, but is more on the medium oil side. That being said the Dream On is a great choice to start the night, but has to be put away in the middle of the 2nd game as it is just to much ball for when the lanes breakdown. If you have a higher ball speed, you should be able to you this ball a little longer on medium oil. This ball will be great on patterns that have higher volumes of oil from the start as this cover needs oil in the front part of the lane. For those bowling on medium conditions the All Day or Nighthawk will be better choices, if you want something to use for all 3 games.

The Dream On will be a ball in my bag, most likely the first ball out of my bag, for me when I go to nationals or any other tournament that will be using higher volume oil patterns.

Likes:  900 Global has outdone themselves again, with their latest release "Dream On". I drilled this ball with a 5 1/2 inch pin above bridge of fingers. If you already have the "Dream" this new ball will be about 5 boards more overall hook. With a smoother shape off the spot. I threw it on fresh THS and was able to start right and migrate left without losing the shape of the ball. This 74 coverstock is flat out awesome! If you are looking for a ball that you want to use on THS or any of the heavier oil sport conditions this is the ball for you. This ball should be in your bag if you need something for either of the above lane conditions I just mentioned. When your are throwing this ball you will beat the competition and they will just have to "dream on" about beating you on that day. Well done 900!

I have drilled two of these so far, one with the pin being above the middle finger and about 5 1/2 from pap and one that is drilled pin down with pin being about 4 from pap.  The pin up is great for THS and once the lanes break down on sport pattern.  The pin down one is what i expected from this core and cover...Very good midlane with a punch on the backend.  Used on Tokyo to start and ended up being too strong toward the 4 game or so.  Really like the Dream On core and cover match up.

Drilling:   Pin up between fingers, MB strong position kicked out
Surface:   OOB 4000 Sanded
Lane condition:   41ft THS
Description:   THIS BALL HOOKS. The Dream was one of my favorite balls in the new 900 Global line, and this ball just gives you that extra 2 boards or so of room when the lanes are really slick or you are bowling on the fresh. As compared to the Dream, the Dream On still has a clean motion through the heads because of the hybrid coverstock, but it picks up a bit earlier than the Dream and has a smoother transition on the backend. Being an asymmetric ball, the Dream On still has a hard move off the friction, but it is a bit more controllable than the Dream when you have less margin of error down lane. This ball should be the go to ball when bowling on long oil patterns.

The Dream On is a great companion to the Dream. Right out of the box, I averaged 230+ in league on a THS. As a down-and-in bowler (drilled pin high above ring finger) with medium/fast ball speed, the Dream went further down the lane to roll up at the break point; great for all types of lane conditions. The Dream On takes it one step further, with the 74 Response Hybrid Coverstock, it glides down the lane smoothly, and finishes strong due to the Identity Asymmetric core (breaking further up the lane than the Dream). This ball is suited best for those tough tournament/sport shots, but has the versatility to be thrown on various types of lane conditions. Ball speed will help control this on dryer conditions to keep the break point further down the lane.

To start the ball comes with a 4000 pad box finish. The first thing I did was polish the ball. With me having a higher rev rate I layed this ball out 5.5x5 which put my pin over the middle finger. This layout allows me to get the ball down lane and have a sharp turn on the backend. With the Dream On and this layout I don't get the hard skid flip like most balls. This ball gives me great control in the backend when the ball comes off the spot. I am able to use this ball from start to finish for league only having to move a couple boards as the lanes break down. All in all this is another great product from 900 Global.

900 Global has added another great ball to the dream line with the dream on. This ball is very clean through the front of the lane with great backend reaction on almost any lane condition. A few boards stronger overall then the original dream and with just as good of recovery down lane. This ball does very well with surface changes it comes without polish and if you need a little more length out of it hit it with some polish and this ball will get off the end of the pattern as well if not better then anything else on the market

Dream On

Drilling: Pin down on center line with MB 3 inches out from center, hole down.
Surface: Box finish with light polish
Description: Longer oil patterns stand no chance with this ball. When comparing this ball with my other equipment for heavier oil, mainly my Moxi, the dream on let's me get a little further into the center of the lane without getting any extensive wiggle down lane. Even with a light polish, the dream on still has plenty of mid lane read and the extra length helps me generate a big sweeping back end. If you enjoy the look your original Dream gives you but wish it had more mid lane with a smoother transition of friction, this is it.

Drilling: Pin above middle finger, Mass Bias at 50 degrees no hole (5 inches from PAP)
Surface: OOB
Oil: THS (3 different centers)
My first impression after throwing this ball was WOW!!!! I am not sure I have ever had a dull asymmetrical ball hook so much. This ball just does not quit on the fresh. I am able to create some sick angle on some slick patterns so far. I really like that this ball doesn't burn up like some other high performance balls I have thrown. The Dream On doesn't start up overly quick, it reads the mid-lane strong, but not so strong that the bowling ball stops. For any bowler looking for a top end ball that is a hook monster, this is the ball for you!

900Global Dream On
I was able to get a good look at the Dream On in 2 houses on two different shots; during leagues on a 42ft THS and in a tournament last weekend in a different house on a modified THS.  On the leagues 42ft THS this ball was great on the fresh.  The Hybrid Cover allowed the ball to glide down the lane, but made the turn with powerful but controllable ease on the backend.  The continuation through the pocket is what is most impressive as this ball leaves no pin standing.  As the night went on, and further inside I moved the Dream On just kept kicking out the corners while showing its versatility.

During the tournament, which was modified THS this ball was first out of the bag. I used it most of the day as we jumped from pair to pair. The ball just seemed to get stronger as the lanes transitioned and allowed me to move and stay slightly inside the other bowlers and watch the backend reaction and pin carry increase.

The Dream On is a great ball for those Med/Oily conditions and is a must have for the tournament bowler.  This is a great piece from 900Global and will surely look and perform great in your BAG!

The 900 Global Dream On is the perfect compliment to the original Dream.  This is the ball you're gonna wanna throw when there is a heavier volume of oil on the lane, this ball is not afraid of oil!  The 74 Response Hybrid coverstock really provides a nice smooth reaction.  This is one of the first balls out of my bag no matter where/what I'm bowling on.

3" Pin placed 1" out
Mass bias strong
75x3.5"x55
OOB 4000 grit

Dream On is the ball you'll need for the medium/medium-heavy conditions where you need some length and a strong roll or more angularity into the pocket. This layout gives the same motion provided by the Break Down but sharpens the angle greatly! This ball just doesn't know when to stop! The most-continuous ball I've seen in quite some time! I believe this ball would be ideal for playing the 45' Masters and similar patterns.

If you were in love with the Dream like I was and really wanted the same ball in a solid, enter the Dream On! The only thing is this one is a hybrid! The reaction of the Dream On is nothing short of spectacular. It is really hard to believe it isn't a solid. This is the perfect ball to start out with and be able to open the lanes up and move deep with. I couldn't believe how much recovery room this ball allowed. I went with a more aggressive layout, 50*x4"x40* because I wanted a strong asymmetrical that I would be able to use on some oil and on flatter patterns. Let me tell you, what I got was clean through the heads and a strong backend move. Just what I was looking for. This ball really begins to rev up midlane but conserves its energy for the backend move. Pins don't stand a chance. It will almost certainly be your ball of choice for when you need a strong backend on flatter patterns. What's even better is, when the Dream On starts reading too early, you have the perfect compliment in the Dream. No need to move. After one shot with this ball and you will be hooked!

Likes:  Wow, this ball hooks.  The Dream On stands up earlier with a more controllable backend than the Dream.  You will be surprised at the margin of error this ball allows!  If you’re looking for a ball that will move in heavy oil and provide carry then the Dream On is for you!  Recently in one of my leagues the THS changed and it had a ridiculous amount of heavy oil, I pulled out the Dream On and was easily covering 10 more boards than all other competitors using the other brands most hooking balls.  Needless to say, the next week there were a few other bowlers that had purchased a Dream On and were doing the same as I was the week prior.  Even with a hybrid coverstock, this ball out hooks more than anything on the market today!  To date, this is the most hooking ball I have ever thrown!
The Dream On is an amazing compliment to the Dream.  An absolute must have for anyone’s arsenal.

TEST ENVIROMENT:

2015 Nationals Team Pattern (38 Feet) – Synthetic Surface

REVIEW:

I tested my Dream On against the Dream.  With this testing done on a shorter pattern, the Dream On did exactly what I anticipated.  The Dream On over all just HOOKS.  For a high-end asymmetrical piece it is very clean through the fronts but still picks up a little earlier then the Dream because of the hybrid coverstock.  When the Dream becomes to much of the skid snap motion you see from a pearl, you will be able to switch to the Dream On and still get the angular motion but more controllable down lane.  With the controllable down lane motion, I found it more versatile to different hand positions then the original Dream.

LIKES:

Smooth angular motion
Very clean through the fronts
Controlled Backend

SUMMARY:

The Dream On is one of the most angular hybrid asymmetrical pieces I have thrown.  It should be used on patterns that have more head oil and that are blended out.

I was not a big fan of asymmetricals but I am now..... the DREAM ON is a must have in your arsenal and it's just different enough from it's friend and more aggressive cover the DREAM BIG.  This ball was unbelievable on this fresh oil pattern  at the Open Championships in El Paso TX, as I started with a 278 game in doubles with only one ball out of the pocket for the first three games of the day on this demanding oil condition. I was able to start out around 12th board at the arrows with a late strong back end reaction crossing around the 8 board at the range finder down lane. This is one of my favorites, probably because of its hybrid cover and late back end reaction.  If you want a no brainer in your bag this is it!   Make your friends DREAM ON to have this ball when they see your reaction when you throw this rock down the lane.  Remember.....  performance for YOUR game is a must!!!!!

My ABSOLUTELY favorite ball.  This ball is a 100% must.  I can't say enough about it.  I have it and I have raised my average to 242.  I am destroying the pins with this amazing marble.  This ball reads the mid-lane and still has enough energy to react on the back end.  It is extremely forgiving and versatile on any lane condition.  You must RUN, don't walk, to your nearest pro shop to pick one of these up.  I don't normally preach this much about a bowling ball, but this ball will make history.  I want more than one of these, they are that good.

Ever dream of striking during every competition?  Well, keep that dream alive with the Dream On.  This ball is one of my favorite asymmetrical balls to date.  It isn't too strong up front, which allows it to store a lot of energy for the hook and roll phases.  I use this ball whenever I can on heavier volume or longer sport patterns and Typical House Shots.  I will definitely be drilling more of these in the near future and I highly recommend drilling the Dream On if you, a friend, or a customer is looking for their next "big" ball.

REVIEW

I drilled my Dream On with the pin under my ring, cg kicked right without an x-hole. This ball is one of my favorites by far! It’s extremely versatile, has amazing hitting power, and really puts the bowler in control of ball reaction. The Dream On is usually the first ball out of my bag and more often than not, stays in my hands throughout my entire league set. I loved my original Dream On so much that I drilled up a second one with a pin up layout to give me another option in case I need a little bit more push and cornering maneuverability later in the night but so far, really haven’t had the need for it during a typical 3 game league set. The combination of the strong core and hybrid cover on the Dream On is what I give credit to its versatility. It doesn’t burn up early like most strong-cored asymms and continues making the corner even when I need to get deeper on the lane. For a league set, I would recommend leaving it in box finish. But in my case, now that I’ve drilled up a second Dream On, I like to keep this one a touch on the duller side (around 1000 grit) and my pin up Dream On shinier (around 3000-4000 with a bit of polish). With this combination, I really don’t need much else for a THS (typical house shot). Of course, I love all of my other Global balls too much to commit to just one but it’s become more and more difficult for me to pry this ball out of my own hands.

I drilled this ball with the pin at 1:30 off my ring finger and the MB about an inch right of my thumb hole and used 1500-grit on the cover.  I have recently had a love affair with most hybrid bowling balls and this one quickly shot of the charts on my usage list.  This ball is very versatile and will handle heavier oil patterns as well as the dreaded over/under ball reactions you tend to get late in game 2 start of game 3 in a typical league night.  This ball will start to read nicely at about 42’ and give you that strong continuation drive to the pocket. (My PAP is 5 3/4” right and 5/8” up, ball speed is about 15.5mph and medium rev rate)

The Alpha 750 Series Dream On is a very versatile ball to have in your bag for all levels of bowlers. The hybrid cover allows the ball to store energy and make it through the front part of the lane cleanly. The Identity Asymmetric core then gives the ball an angular finish to the pocket. My ball is drilled pin down below the bridge with the CG kicked out to the right. For a low to mid rev player this ball gives me a multiple lines to the pocket on medium to heavy oil patterns. This is a great ball to have in your bag, get one today!
