Trick the competition with the Roto Grip Dare Devil Trick bowling ball. Roto Grip has taken the Madcap core that was introduced in the original Dare Devil ball and combined it with the Reckless Solid Reactive coverstock and then finished it with a 2000 grit pad. The Madcap core has proven itself as one that offers midlane roll that continues through the pin deck unlike other symmetrical shaped cores from Roto Grip. The solid version of this ball offers more traction and response to friction than the original. This ball was made for medium-heavy to heavy oil conditions but can be tweaked to handle lighter oil too.

I placed a pin down layout on this ball (4 1/2 x 4 1/2) as I wanted this to be my benchmark house shot ball. I was very impressed by this ball as It allowed me to use it the whole night through the various transitions each game. All I had to do was migrate left and open up my angles as the lanes broke down. I typically like to keep my angles tighter when the night starts (stand around 21/22) and slowly move in. The Dare Devil Trick allowed me to do this.
Another thing I love about this ball is the cover stock and core. The characteristics of both provide a smooth and controllable ball motion. I knew what the ball was going to d each time it left my hands. I got that nice arc motion that I like to see when I release the ball.
I am already planning on picking up another 1-2 of these and placing a stronger layout on one for sport shots that are of shorter and medium length and having another for my recreational league I bowl in.

Andrew similar to your shots in the video, I've found I have a lot of success playing mine around the 5 board, even a bit outside.
And I'll never understand chris' shot. I'm a firm believer in everyone has their own shot and it obviously works for him. But I'll never get how it appears as if he just gives up on the shot. Dude kills it, I just can't figure out how haha

This ball is absolutely amazing. I wanted this ball to complement the original. it allows me to step up when the lanes are a little more oily and still be able to use a more controllable piece then going to a no rules. I could play deep in the oil and the ball would still have the power to kick corners or swing it out to the dry playing whole lane and still had no problems getting back to the pocket. This ball is available now. Go see you local pro shop operator today, you won't be disappointed. If in the Evansville, IN are go out and see Nick Austin at The Bowling Place located in Arc Lanes. . Ball: Roto Grip Dare Devil Trick

What I liked: I liked that you could really identify the change in direction and also, the hitting and “staying†power of the ball all the way through the pin deck. The flare was a little less than I thought it would be, but it even made me happier seeing the ball finish like it did in the backend part of the lane. It really did not start up any sooner than my pin down Dare Devil and had less angle into the pocket, which on the fresh THS is great. Once I seen the ball start to carry down lane a little longer, I could switch to the Snap Lock or Torrent which would be the next balls up. Great all around THS ball that packs a brutal punch through the pins

Roto Grip - Dare Devil TRICK
Ready for a TRICK? This ball does is a ball that fits nicely into anyones bag. With the lightbulb core and very predictable motion, this ball allows you to play many different lines. The featured RECKLESS coverstock has bite. If you like the Dare Devil than you will love the TRICK. This ball is a great compliment to the pearl dare devil. Great ball to start in the oil with and as the lanes break down switch to the pearl. I drilled 2 of them, first one was 85x5x35 which allows the ball to get down lane and respond to the friction quickly for those inside lines, and it does exactly that. The second one I drilled 75x3 3/4x45 to give me a smoother look when you need to blend out that pattern and have a consistent look to the pocket. Both balls reacted exactly to how they were drilled. This will be a stronger benchmark ball but not too strong. Love the predictable motion with it and the consitentancy of the coverstock and weight block combination. Normally I dont throw a lot of solids due to me slower ball speed and 350 rims they tend to burn out faster on me, but this ball has done a very good job of giving me a solid ball that maintains some energy down lane and gives a strong but consistent look. This is a great ball!

The new ball in the Roto Grip HP3 line is the Dare Devil Trick. DD Trick uses the same
core as original but wrapped with the Reckless Solid Coverstock. I drilled mine 5 x 5 x 4 .5 or 60 x 4.5 x 64 pin down. I added step 2 to cover, and the DD Trick gave me good overall hook but a much slower response to the friction. Very controllable and predictable motion. The original at times would go sideways when it saw friction. The Trick has more hook up front which allows it to handle more oil. The Trick is a great compliment to the original Dare Devil.

The Daredevil Trick is Roto Grip's newest in the HP3 line. This is the ultimate sport condition ball, it has enough traction to be in play on heavy volumes and is smooth enough to use on shorter conditions but is most at home on all things medium. Smooth and controllable is the name of the game for the Trick, it's like an updated version of the IQ Tour Solid for today's heavier volumes. This is one of those balls that every serious tournament bowler needs, and should be the first or second ball in the bag. Surface changes show a wide range of condition coverage, it's an extremely versatile ball. The Trick is best from straighter angles, but heavier hands will be able to catch it all at the bottom without seeing it overreact on the backend. It will need polish to be viable on all but the wettest of house conditions, and lower rev or higher speed games may not see the shape they need out of the Trick on a house shot, but this ball will play for every type of bowler on medium sport conditions.

The New HP3 Dare Devil Trick from Roto Grip gives you everything the original Dare Devil didn't, while absolutely matching the great value and performance of it's Pearl counterpart. The same great clean downlane motion from the madcap core is teamed up with a much more aggressive Reckless Solid cover. The result is a Med/Strong ball which will let you see the midlane on more volume but still save up energy to go through the pins.
The best comparison I could make to the Trick is the Roto Grip Disturbed. I was as big a fan of that release as I am of this one. My lower ball speed causes me to be much more selective with solid covers. The original Dare Devil has become my ball of choice many nights as it looks good as the lanes transition into the burn. The tricks fills the same gap early. On most house shots I can throw the Trick games 1 and 2 with great success. It has enough cover that if the fronts really go away it takes some work to get it through the front so I usually opt for the original Dare Devil when that happens. What I avoid with both games is fighting the lanes as they transition game two. The trick stays useful much longer than many balls as cover-strong as this one. Even with a pretty aggressive layout, it takes a long time before I'm worried about this ball turning the corner and putting all ten in the pit.

The Dare Devil Trick is great! When the Dare Devil (pearl version) was released, I immediately loved it, but I wished I had a heavy oil version. The DD Trick solves that problem. I get that same great Dare Devil shape, but the Trick can handle much more volume and is much smoother on the back. It’s perfect for the fresh or heavy oil. It’s definitely a must have if you’re looking for a compliment to the Dare Devil!

The Dare Devil Trick has been a great addition to my arsenal. Having drilled both the Haywire and the No Rules prior, I wanted the Trick to fit in as a step down from those two. This ball is much smoother than both the Haywire and the No Rules, meaning that it does not over react or change direction as much. I put a fairly strong layout (60x 4 1/8 x 30) so the ball reacted pretty early with a smooth roll on the backend. For those bowling on sport conditions this ball would be great for middle games or after the initial breakdown when the stronger balls start to over react. For those bowling on house patterns this is a great bench mark ball

The Dare Devil Trick is the newest release in the HP3 line by RotoGrip. The Dare Devil Trick has the Madcap Core and the Reckless Solid reactive coverstock. This formulation allows the Trick to be responsive in oil and to be continuous on the backend. The Dare Devil Trick reminds me a lot of the IQ Tour and also of the Disturbed with more overall reaction down lane. I decided to go pin down with the layout with the cg kicked out with a medium size, which is my favorite layout. The dual angle numbers are roughly 45 X 6 X 70. My coordinates are rev rate around 300, medium ball speed, right handed and my PAP is 5 5/8 over and ¾ up.
I was able to throw the Dare Devil and the IQ Tour in the same practice session as the Dare Devil Trick on a Fresh and a beat up Typical House Pattern. What I noticed was the Dare Devil was of course longer and stronger at the break point because it is pearlized which did not surprise me at all. The surprise came when the IQ Tour and Dare Devil Trick was thrown… The Dare Devil Trick was about 3 to 5 boards stronger than the IQ Tour with more backend motion. Even though the Trick was stronger throughout the lane it is still predictable in the mid lane and very continuous through the pin deck. The IQ Tour and the Dare Devil Trick blended out the over under and really opened the lane up early on. However, when the heads started to fry up and my angles started to get away from my comfort zone… the Dare Devil was perfect. The predictable ball motion of the Dare Devil Trick will give you a very good idea of how the lane is playing!

The DareDevil Trick is a great addition to the Roto line and a perfect companion to the OG DareDevil. If you need more traction on higher volume patterns or you have higher ball speed, this is the rock to drill. I drilled mine with a 5 inch pin under my fingers to really take advantage of the control that this ball has. I was happy with the motion and overall shape the Trick displayed. I don't usually bowl well with solid equipment due to my tilt and axis rotation, but when I have a lake in front of me, the Trick is the rod in my hand. I've drilled a few in my shop and the results have been awesome. I highly suggest giving this ball a try and props to the team for another good release. #SquadRG #ownit

The Dare Devil Trick is a great all around benchmark ball. I’ve had the opportunity to use it on a variety of patterns and haven’t found many where it won’t work.
On THS, this ball can work in the track or covering boards. It manages transitions very well.
On sport patterns, the Trick works quite well. It reads the fronts and just rolls without jumping when it encounters friction. It’s one of the best symmetric balls that I’ve used on competitive patterns. This ball was my only/best option when I was in Vegas for the USBC Open. It worked great on both patterns (if only I had realized this during singles).
As a benchmark, you can’t go wrong or possibly do better than the Dare Devil Trick.

The Daredevil Trick is the follow up ball to the Daredevil in the HP3 line of balls from Roto Grip. This version has a solid cover called Reckless and comes from the factory with a 2000 grit abralon finish. The color combination is black teal and red, and uses the same Madcap core found in the original Daredevil which has core numbers of 2.48 rg and 0.041 diff in 15 lb balls.
I drilled the Daredevil Trick with the same layout as I have on my first Daredevil,
4 ¾ x 5 ¼ x 2 ½. In the box finish, the Trick starts creating traction in oil quicker and has more overall hook potential than the Daredevil with this slower transition, medium-high flare potential drilling. I can use the Trick on lanes that have carry-down, and when the Daredevil just can’t slow down enough to make the corner, and face up properly towards the pocket. I like the Trick on medium to medium heavy lane conditions, with decent blend left to right. The HP3 line of balls from Roto Grip have produced some of the most consistent reactions for me, and my style of play, and the Trick is another great addition in this line. I have not altered the surface of the Trick, only cleaned it with Reacta-Clean, and a light touch of a grey scotchbrite to get some belt marks off of the ball. With probably 70 or so games on the Trick, there is lane shine on the ball and is a cleaner through the front part of the lane than when fresh out of the box. With some fresh surface for heavier volumes of oil; some polish or lane shine for medium conditions, the Daredevil Trick has good pattern coverage from the Medium to the heavy stuff.
The Daredevil Trick is a great addition to anyone's bag when wanting a ball that has a variety of pattern coverage, and has a consistent, reliable ball motion. The Trick is just a good ball, period.
