Lol I think they usually do multiple at the same time when their lower price points at the end/beginning of the season.

For some reason I remember his for the tank and rebel tank and ascent line I could be wrong tho...

I could see that. I wonder what's getting the ax. I see the Rebel is on the retired list.

Yeah, it looks like the Tank Rampage will be a direct replacement for the Rebel Tank so it makes sense that the latter is gone. Interesting that it seems like the Rampage is going to come factory polished as what appears to be a simple urethane cover. Can't think of anything else that recently came out in a similar mold. The Super Natural was polished but that also had the pearl urethane cover if I remember correctly. And the other recent pearl urethanes (aside from those intended for spares) have come with surface so this will be something to keep an eye on. I know most of us here have no qualms about changing surface but that's not true for the overall bowling community. Initial impressions could be... sketchy.

Maybe the Graffiti Tag is at the end of it's road too? As a pearl ball like the original Freestyle it's hard to say. I wouldn't be surprised if the Tank Rampage, Freestyle, Graffiti Tag, and Freestyle Rush are all kept current though. Motiv did that with their light oil line previously.

I believe the Rush is/will be the Tag replacement.  I'd expect to see the Tag disappear in the near future.

Rampage looks like a stronger version of the og tank. EJ made it look pretty good on tv today. But it's also EJ, and he makes most of it look good.

Though the Rampage RG is much higher than the original Tank and the Diff much lower, the claim by Motiv is that the cover stock is much, much stronger and will work on modern conditions.

Here is what they say:

The Tank Rampage is a strong urethane ball engineered for the modern game.
Featuring both a new cover stock and new core specifications, it will dominate on patterns with wet/dry features and also on higher friction surfaces where reactive resin balls are too angular.
The new urethane cover stock developed for the Tank Rampage is Alchemy - the new gold standard for urethane performance.
Tested and developed by Motiv's PBA tour staff, this urethane technology provides a great deal of overall hook, but with that smooth urethane shape.
To complement this shape, the solid burgundy urethane shell is tuned with a 3000 Grit LSS finish.
To make the Tank Rampage absolutely the best, they not only developed a new cover stock, but also modified the original Gear core to provide a higher RG and tighter track flare.
The new Gear V2 core provides the 15# model with a 2.55 RG and differential of .020.
The Tank Rampage is the strongest urethane ball MOTIV has ever released, making it the most versatile Tank in the series.
Now bowlers will be able to play more angles and use the Tank Rampage on more conditions.

Seems to be a more plastic like reaction compared to the urethane Arctic.  Too many complained about the excessive movement with the Arctic; durability be damned.

I got my arctic because the previous owner said it moved too much, it rolls very straight for me and has been durable.
