Title: When can you use your average for tournaments?
Post by: djgook on April 19, 2017, 12:10:02 PM
Hello bowling family,
I am a new bowler. My league end this Sunday (my first sanctioned league). The Summer tour starts this weekend in Maryland and it goes all summer every weekend. When is my average on the books? When can I start using my averages in tournaments? How do obtain my average if I enter the tournament if they do not have it? Thank you for all your help. This will be my first tournament that I will enter and I am nervous and excited (even though my average is real low,but it is a handicap tournament) at the same time.
For those who is wondering what my average is, it is 135.

You should be good to go with taking a league sheet from the end of the season. Ask the league secretary to run you a copy off.

Depending on the tournament, you might need a verification letter from the association(not the league) secretary.

Our State tournament requires this for someone in your situation at times.

Ask your league secretary if they can get it for you or to give you the contact number for the Association Secretary.

You could also ask the tournament director what they would require.
