From my understanding, the company that made the NEAT pads stopped making them.

If you follow that line of reasoning.  How did Storm use Code Red?.

I read there is some rule.  Maybe the covert revolt is old enough.

I think a ball name has to be not used for some time frame....Cuz there are some being reused.

My point is Storm is using the exact same name Code Red as Track did in the past.  900G is using part of the name not the whole name Covert Ops kinda makes sense as it fits.  I understand what you are saying about time frame.  Personally, I could care less about a ball name or it's colors...to me it's about great ball performance, match up to my stats and lane condition and longevity.

I read somewhere that there is a time frame on how often a name can be used. As for partial names, that has to be used. It is kinda vague, but there are a lot of blue balls out there. (yes I just wanted to say that) pitch blue, blue hammer, probably a code blue overseas although I'm not certain.

I wanna say it's 2 or 3 years out of production. Which makes sense for Marvel's and cells to pop up periodically even if they're overseas.

Don't know for sure on the law, but Motiv has/had the Primal Rage, and Columbia 300 had a Primal Rage 20 years ago....so it has been done before.

However, I do know Storm put up a fit when Ebonite released the Mission Domination because of the Storm Domination....so Ebonite changed the Domination to the Mission $250K.

If the ball is anywhere close to the Black Ops this ball will be awesome!!  I have 2 Black Ops (different drillings) and love how smooth they roll.  Shame I am going to USBC Open Championships before the release date.

In The Bag: 2-Black Ops, Inception, Storm Aqua Crux, Ebonite Warrior.  All polished except Crux.

I'm sure with the stronger cover it will handle more oil and have more midlane and more overall hook

To be honest, I've always preferred my Breaks with surface. I JUST broke the surface on my Ops because

1. Did I mention I hate 1500 polished?

2. It didn't show case how good the ball is.

I would drill one of these up and go 50*5*65 because I KNOW what I'm going to get.

Am I the only one that breaks the surface before I throw it?

Is there really a Covert Ops?  I have talked to two 900 Global Staffers that never heard of it.  One did mention if it is true it would be announced at Bowl Expo in Nashville.

If there is such a ball I will have it for sure based what I have read on this blog.

In The Bag:  2 Black Ops (different drillings), Inception, Storm Aqua Crux and Ebonite Warrior.  All polished

There is indeed a Covert Ops. I'll bet my NIB Break Point Solid on it.

New cover S72 should be money. I just started to break the covers. IMO it makes it easier to replicate when bringing back to that surface. Not sure why I never got into the habit of doing so for previous balls. I didn't like the Black Ops with polish as I normally don't care for polished solids. After going to dull, the ball came to life. Now I have 3 that fit in perfectly.

New cover S72 should be money.

This is how I feel. I've bought mainly Brunswick family balls in the past year+, but I don't think I'll be able to pass up a Covert Ops. Break core + solid cover has been money for 900 global

And at this price point, you can't pass it up. I'm seriously thinking of punching the new Inception, an Inception Pearl, Covert Ops and Ninja SE pearl. Going to start going thru the bag and getting rid of the stuff I don't like (read that as the OG Dream)

The new S72 solid, iCe (2000) coverstock paired up with the original Ops core, gives this ball the roll in oil one previously had only by dulling the cover of the black ops. I drilled mine 45x 4 1/8 x35, pin down. On a THS, the Covert read the midlane and made a nice, controllable, arc off the spot.Pin carry was excellent. As the shot became more wet/dry, small moves left to keep the Covert Ops on the oil to the dry, allowed me to stay with this ball for 3 games. I was bowling with 5 high rev right handers and all of us were playing the same area. The Covert Ops will be a great addition to your Ops arsenal.

I wish people knew how much of a home run the original Break core is. It's a formula that just works.
