Just looked around to see if any videos are out for the new stuff.Lots of videos out. Why are there no reviews?
The Honey Badger has my interest along with the Covert Ops.By the way good honest reviews.
I keep my Black Ops polished and really curious how much stronger the covert cover will be.To me the Black ops is the Hyroad of 900 global.The core just plain works.
Covert ,Black an Desert Ops is probably all you need for most conditions.If I could get over being a ball junkie.This would be my plan.

I am really interested in the Inception DCT. I do use Vise ITs and it looks like that I will not be able to use them. I still may get one, nit really sure.

Why can't you use them?

Because of the ceramic core, you cannot drill into it. I have a large thumb as I was told by Global 900 that the ITs cannot be used. This is what I got as a reply from them:
thank you for the inquiry to answer your question I'm sorry but the ceramic nugget prevents ITs from being used because the safe drill depth is 2.75". I am afraid you will have to use a regular slug on this one. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I'm very interested in getting a DCT as well, but I was told no IT or SG
Pulled this from Turbo's site:
After you have measured drill specifications, start by drilling a pilot thumb
hole of 11/4†or 13/8†3 inches deep. Switch Grip™ requires the use of the
11/2†hole for the installation of the Outer Sleeve. The pilot hole will help
reduce “wobble†or drift keeping the 11/2†drill more centrally aligned.
Dense core materials make the drill drift more than softer materials.
Drifting typically occurs more toward the bottom of hole when closer to
weight block. The pilot hole removes 90% of material ensuring a more
consistent hole circumference from top to bottom. TURBO TIP: By drilling
the pilot hole 3 inches deep you create more room at the bottom of the Switch Grip. Having more separation from the bottom of the
hole and the locking mechanism allows for the hole to be cleaned out completely, minimizing the chance of any debris to lodge to
the rails of the locking mechanism. If debris lodges to the rails of the locking mechanism it makes the Switch Grip harder to twist
and lock into place. SPECIAL NOTE: Switch Gripâ„¢ is NOT recommended for balls with ceramic cores.

Don't really understand why its that big a deal that a it or switchgrip wont work.Slug it or no slug it.Surely you can replicate a dang thumb hole.Because the it or switchgrip will not work keeps you from buying a ball makes no sense to me.
The ceramic puck in the middle just another gimmick to sell balls anyway.Just like carbon fiber core and cover .Can't tell you how many cracked bridge Hammer balls I have seen with the carbon fiber gimmick.Doesn't make the ball tougher or hit any harder.
The Columbia swerve gimmick really went over like a lead balloon.I have not seen one of those balls in my area.Only place I see them is on all the internet sites on clearance.

This is just my reasoning, not assuming anyone else has this same opinions:
Some of my favorite balls in the 90's were the Ceramic cores from Colombia 300, loved the Tremor, Aftershock, and Ti Boss Pearl.
I've been having a great run this summer throwing nothing but G900 balls, so I 'm looking to retool for the winter leagues with more.
I need a few heavy options for a long heavy sport pattern, hence the interest in the DCT
I have 3 SG inserts. Depending on the time of year (temp, humidity....) dictates which one I primarily use. I don't want to go back to fine tuning with tape or re drilling slugs every few months

I do kinda of understand.But take your biggest one drill that size tape as needed.Simple that's just me I guess.

in the description for the DCT it says it's the first ball to use ceramic technology? What am I missing? Remember everyone throwing Cuda/C's and Pirahna/C's back in the day? Was that a dream? No pun intended.

Yesterday, in anticipation of a pattern change for a sport pattern scratch league. I picked up an HB and I'm very happy with my choice.
Drilled it pin over ring, CG out 1 1/2" and it gave me a great long and angular motion.
It wasn't snappy like most of the other pearls I have. By mid 3rd game it did lose some bite as the carry down softened the break point, but still kept a good turn towards the pocket. But by far what impressed me the most was the continuation through the pin deck.
Can't wait to throw this piece more.
