Title: I can stand to leave any single pin other than...
Post by: leftybowler70 on July 13, 2017, 10:16:30 AM
The fricking stone 9!!! No matter what move, or adjustment I make, I leave at least 1 per game, (sometimes 2 like yesterday)  Obviously aware that it's part of the game, but it's so demoralizing when you have to have it, and it's all for naught.  :-[

Anybody feel the same way as me?

I feel the same freakin way and they always seem to come at the worst time, late in the game after the 7th frame or when you're coming off a double or the previous frame was a big split you couldn't convert.

Right when you really need a strike and you focus and execute your best shot......BAAM!!!!

Few weeks ago, I had the front 9 and left that S9 on the next frame. But for some reason, as soon as I released the ball, I somehow knew that I was going to leave the S9.

Also, I've been there. Just two weeks ago I left the S9 back to back on the same lane. It could be the rack? I don't know. I've learned to smile at these types of leaves. Especially having the front 11 and on the next ball I leave an 8 10 split - I even felt it was a great shot too lol.

Getting all pissed off and irate at leagues and putting on a show, to me is just dumb. It's just bowling leagues. (not saying you do this, but there are dudes who kick and scream, look at their hand, bitch out loud that I find comical.)

"Bowling, either you're the hydrant or the dog." - randy p.

Appreciate your post, i also see bowlers ' act childish over this and shake my head.... my post is just  irritable sarcasm to this pin leave, and wanted others who experience this to chime in.

This post is in reguards to the adjusting off of bad strikes post a week back. :)

Last week it was the stone 9 for me and I rarely leave them. I mean rarely as in during a whole season I might leave more stone 8s than 9s.

Lol, now that's funny.  Next we need 2handedvolcano to come here telling us use the two handed John Stockton chest pass technique because he never leaves anything on the back row.

Even as righty been having more problems lately with 7 pins than 10.  Put it in the left gutter too much.  I should get more comfortable with that angle with my spare ball (try to use on second shot almost always with same starting spot for all but 9 and 10) but will probably move my feet left instead and flatten out the shot.

Sometimes I throw the runaway Brooklyn and there stands the 5 pin all by itself...  Boy, how did that happen on such a quality shot?? ;)

All 10 pins are frustrating.

Oddly enough blast 8 pins don't really bother me as much.  I figure I can live with the quality of that shot.....

This is not a single pin per se, more a combo. Flat 10, when paired with a move that creates a hard 4 pin or that over skid 2 pin.

Not a single pin but a pocket 5-7-10...had one 2 weeks ago. Old sh*t wood lanes that literally can't be resurfaced or the nails will pop through. They flood the middle of the lane, don't clean the backends, and let the outsides burn.

Flat 10 is the worst.  Cause is easy to recognize, but fix can often be very difficult

I don't get mad, I just blame the rack.

I say, "Lucky you". My "luck" is a little bit different: I cross over for what appears to be a solid brooklyn, and there, laughing its ass off at me, is the solid 10 pin. I can catch a break and go solid brooklyn, but I still can't carry.

Obviously it's the ball, the lanes, or the Earths rotation. It's never the bowler c'mon now bruh.
