Title: Dear 900 Global
Post by: JS on August 15, 2017, 01:09:30 PM
You are now producing balls with more coefficient of restitution (Honey Badger) and more hitting power with the ceramic core (Inception DCT).

Please produce a ball using both.  Maybe an S70 pearl or hybrid, all coverstock, no filler and the Inception DCT core.

The Inception UACCT, Ultimate All Cover and Ceramic Technology.

I use ITs too, but I am so tempted to just have my PSO drill me one with a slug

I do think that if you have a small thumb you are ok.  I sent them an email and told them that I say Barnes switch grips and he is with Vise and they told me that he has  a small thumb.

I have an SG in my DCT with a pin up layout

if you want a pin down layout go with an Ultimate Thumb

So you're saying the position of the ceramic is where you could miss it with a pin up drilling?

I was looking around the warehouse today for a diamond coated 1/2 drill bit about 11 inches long to see if it would drill that ceramic core for IT. If not we have a vendor in China that can make a sample for me. I'm not sure what the caveats are in which they say you can't drill it, or if the dust is like asbestos.

I drilled into one a long time ago... Don't do it. Learn from my mistakes.

I drilled into a Columbia with a ceramic core many years ago, stopped my drilling progress instantly....I backed off drill quickly and the bit was fine.
ceramic core, all cover would be really interesting......global probably already testing ;)

I want to know the position of that nugget now

My PSO talked to a regional rep a few times before plunging the bit
1- to see what was possible
2- double checked after we put the layout on it

I have had no issue what so ever drilling a IT in the DCT    most ITs your thumb dont touch the bottom of the slug so there for  dont drill it as deep :)   works perfect  think smarter dont work harder

But if you don't drill as deep as normal, then the slug itself will have to be cut off, and then any slug you do that to won't fit any of your other balls.

He doesn't base anything he says in reality. Don't mind him.
