Verdict Pearl already announced
January 2, 2018 approved list updated:
C300 Lit Pearl
Ebonite GB3
Track Alias
Track Ultra Heat
Hammer Rip'd Solid
Hammer Rip'd (approved in December)
I'm assuming both the Rip'd releases are overseas
-
Ripd are both coming here.
Also the Fierce Phobia

Interesting. I originally thought the Rip'd was coming here when I saw it last month but not hearing anything and seeing another one made me think overseas
-
Game Breaker 3? That should be interesting.

Thought it was interesting to release to HP balls at the same time.

I'd think that the Fierce Phobia would be UMP, as that is what the Phobia is. I don't think they would try to release one as HP whereas the original one is at UMP.
As for the Rip'd, the Rebel Solid did just get dropped, so I'm wondering if we're seeing a replacement for that line.. otherwise, that might and the Rip'd Solid could go HP and phase out the Scandal Pearl..
BL.

The Phobia stays in the same performance category.
Im referring to releasing a Ripd solid and pearl or hybrid at the same time.

Really interesting. Highly considering drilling my second GB2 very soon. Hopefully this doesn't bite my behind.

Geez.. I'm hoping I don't have to fight between this, the Matrix, and my GB2 MVP for the benchmark in my bag!

When's the release date for the GB3?

You might! Haha

When's the release date for the GB3?
WWID - 1-18
WWRD - 1-30

Thanks Dave...

Track Alias, wonder if that is the new high end ball for them. Surprised they didn't make a couple more Makos
-
Has EBI sped up their release schedule or am I just imagining this because it is essentially 4 brands to manage?
-
It's the 4 brand thing I feel like, although it is the start of tournament season, so maybe that has something to do with it.
Both of the Rip'd are USA release
-
also coming out with a Lit pearl (Columbia), Ultra heat (track). The Alias looked very impressive at a Demo day today. HP ball, very versatile depending on the drilling. Will let you know ;)
-
Not much of an EBI fan, with that said the Black Paradox, Lit, and Verdict Pearl........oh man, got damn. Those balls are good.

I did an Ebonite Demo Day without having any intention of buying anything, but ended up pulling the trigger on the Black Paradox and the Lit. Those 2 balls were that impressive. EBI is putting out some really good stuff right now.
-
Agreed on the Paradox. The original got me missing the OG Track stuff. I almost pulled the trigger on one. Glad to see EBI pull themselves back out of bad ball reaction hell.

Yeah, they are relevant again, and coming from me, that means they've arrived. I had been shitting on them for years.
-
Yeah. The Paradox Black is really, really good. Haven't seen many throwing the Lit but the original Verdict was nice too. EBI is back. Getting hard to convince myself that I don't need anything new...

Alright alright, Paradox Black seems solid. What else from EBI would you grab up on a can't miss situation?
-
Black Paradox, Affinity, Black Widow Gold, and Spoiler are my favorite pieces right now. I throw the Black Paradox 70% of the time. One of the best balls I've ever thrown.
-
The Gauntlet Fury is 1st out of my bag these days. It needs a little bit of friction to really come alive, not for heavy oil unless you change the surface. The miss area with this ball is literally why you can take a 180 ave and make him 190-200 without doing anything else IMO
-
Isn't the black paradox the same as the purple except color?

Same as the original blue. Purple was a pearl

I threw the Paradox and the Lit side-by-side at the demo day. They're actually pretty close to each other. The Lit was just a little earlier and covered a few more boards, but still not a lot of difference.
Getting both was more impulse than need. I've just drilled them up for different hook shapes. Both are excellent pieces.

Verdict Pearl and Fierce Phobia both look like winners
Spoiler and Gauntlet Fury have gotten a lot of love as recent releases
Can't go wrong with the Eruption Pro, Vibe, Kinetic, or GB series
I liked the Brunswick family for awhile but now EBI has gone to the top of my list. I'm curious to see the GB3 and Ultra Heat
-
The original Lit is an excellent ball, need head oil, but it allows me to get in deeper than I normally would and still have a ball that is very continuous. Have no problem getting back to the pocket. Not sold on the Lit pearl that I saw the other day. The Verdict pearl is another story, a very good follow up to the original. The new Alias is a great ball. Very versatile, with drilling combo's that are going to create lots of discussion. The GB3 was very strong, plenty of hook if that is what you are looking for. save your money, release dates are just around the corner.

Interesting. Doesn't surprise me that the Columbia 300 option is getting overlooked, they're one of the most invisible brands, but I may have to get a Lit if/when it goes on clearance here if it's that good. Because the Paradox Black is amazing.

Yeah the alias is definitely going to turn some heads. I can't wait to throw it.

I'm going to keep my eye on these. Have a Lit on the way and probably going to pick up a Phenom Pearl in the near future.

For ME, the phenom pearl was to over/under, no matter what surface I tried.
Got my hands on a "Affinity" which was supposed to be same cover, etc
Its not the same as far as my personal observations, this ball does not over/under for me
It has clean cover up front, easy length and a continuous, predictable motion
I would pass on the Phenom pearl and get the Affinity

Yes the Affinity and the Phenom Pearl share the same cover but have different cores. The Affinity is absolutely an amazing ball. If I was to pick between the 2 I would also go with the Affinity.

GB3 and the 12.7 cover looks like a great replacement as all of my GB2s are all going a little long these days.

I'm not sold on it yet, the cover is potentially a little stronger than I was hoping for. But I'll reserve judgement until I see and hear more.
The Ultra Heat is what I've been waiting for the most
-
what is the ultra heat? i havent seen anything on it yet. just the name being thrown around
-
So far, I like the GB3. Its a bit different than my GB2, little more length, the continuation seems to be a bit more. A fresh GB2 surface at 2000 vs the GB3 at fresh 2000, the GB2 is a little earlier from what I saw and the GB3 had a more downlane. Its early though, Ive only had a few chances for practice with it
-
Any timetable for when we should be seeing info for stuff?
-
Track Alias and Ebonite GB3 info is on the websites
The Ultra Heat and the Hammer Ripd are a 2-1-18 information release date
Got to throw the GB3 today, impressive I thought.
short clip on a pretty burned out house pattern
