Wow, so now the upper end Storm stuff gets an internet price of $175! I guess that's the price you pay for a factory running full tilt.

what the marketplace drives or desires and what supply and demand can provide given the current manufacturing schedules................ same in any industry, not just bowling balls

Looks like the site is temporarily down. But based on the OP's description. I will be passing on the Idol because I definitely can't use a ball with that strong of a cover.

Code X..very interested. Sour taste from the Code Red but Code Black is one of my favorites. So what'll this one be?..

Edit: Just saw it on buddies...they couldn't have chosen better colors for the Code X...dang it  ;)

The code red is terrific ball when the lanes are blended. If you bowl on mostly House I can see why you don’t like it.

Yeah unfortunately even a lot of the local tournaments are only putting out modified house.

So it's the bottom half of the daredevil core, with the top of the black ops core....

Hotcell is produced at 900g

Now this...

I think we can confirm that they are really using both facilities to crank out balls now...

And I was hoping for the green one on the approved list, not the maroon.

We don't talk about the Hyroad Solid.  Only ball ever to have R2S solid on it and suck.  R2S Solid that's on the IQ Tour Solid, Torrent, Rocket Ship, etc . . that's what we're talking about.

Wasn't the R2S solid on the Hyroad Solid?

I did say I would consider a solid version of the Code Red over the Intense.
Maybe this is what I was looking for in my Hyper Cell post.

Don't know about this Idol ball. I wonder who comes up with these names. Perhaps Neutrino Particle would of been better.

I'm trying to figure out why Roto has 2 balls (DDT and Idol) in the HP3 line that for all intents and purposes do the same thing.  Is the Trick on the way out?

The Idol should in theory be stronger overall than the Trick. The Trick will be smoother

Idol should be an arrow stronger.  Nano tech plus a diff .011 higher?  It's going to be a monster.

I just saw an Idol on Instagram that is dull and a shade lighter than the Loco Solid.

It looked like a Hammer Hi-Rev. Pretty ball.

The only Hyroad I tried was the solid.  Guess I should try the pearl?

How about the legendary OG itself??

I’m excited for some comparison videos of the Code X vs the Black and Red.

Schlemer told us all that this is the first time either company has done a solid color Nano cover, and that it's producing a lot of variation in manufacturing, so everyone should have their own unique ball.  Some are darker, some are lighter, some have phasing, some don't, etc, so this should actually be a really accidentally cool thing.

Sucks? Everyone has an opinion, that's for sure. Who's WE?  :-X While bowling the other day, my other two balls were flipping big time and hitting Brooklyn constantly. Grabbed (old trusty) HyRoad Solid and it was pure money to the pocket. 226 in my third and final game. Went home feeling refreshed and assured. It's usually last out of the bag for me these days, but is still used when needed. With all of that said, "to each there own" I figure.  :D

Luke's on the inside. I think he's just referencing the majority.

I felt personally attacked by the hyroad solid hate.  It was a great reaction for me.... people must not bowl on heavier patterns and new synthetics cuz mine was money!

Oh well...

I want to see a review comparison cause all I'm thinking is "An arrow stronger for who?!?!?!?!?!?!?"

Us rev-challenged folks won't get a full arrow - maybe 2 boards.  Even the Roto site lane comparison tool has it maybe 2-3 boards stronger for a stroker on medium conditions and 1 board stronger on heavy with slightly different shapes.

And I know looking at the specs, it should be stronger - and it probably will.  But for all intents and purposes, there's overlap here - 2 strong symmetrical solids in HP3.

At the end of all this I'm just asking for a comparison vid is all I'm saying.
