Post by: BallReviews-scodaddy21 on February 07, 2018, 05:26:57 PM
Ebonite continues the successful Game Breaker line of mid performance bowling balls with the Game Breaker 3. The Enhanced V2 core paired with the GB 12.7 Hybrid coverstock is compatible with any medium to heavy oiled lanes for a variety of bowling styles. This bowling ball offers predictable and continuous ball motion like no other.

Hello! This time we had the chance to try the newest addition to the Game Breaker series... The Game Breaker 3.

The Ebonite Game Breaker 3 is the strongest ball in the Game Breaker series.

It provides a strong midlane read and a smooth downlane motion that will help to blend the pattern when you are bowling on flat patterns or on house shots with some over/under. This ball is about 4 to 5 boards stronger than the Game Breaker 2.

This ball will be a great option for bowlers who are speed dominant or have a lower rev rate and for bowlers who wants to control the breakpoint when they are bowling on more demanding conditions.

Overall, this is a versatile piece that will find a spot in your bag.

Check our review for more details.

Thank you for watching!

GAMEBREAKER SAYS IT ALL!!!  The GB3 is an absolutely must have in the bag.  The GB3 has a proven core wrapped in a stronger coverstock.  The GB3 will be the most versatile ball in your bag to date.  I drilled one pin up and one pin down.  Both balls compliment one another quite well.  If your looking for a symmetrical versatile ball this is the one.

Likes: Threw this ball at an Ebonite Demo this past weekend.  This one was probably my favorite.  Very strong in the midlane but still a nice finish for me.  Its the type of control ball that I really love.  The predictability is confidence inspiring.  My son also had this in at least his top three that day.  He has a bit more hand than I do.  He was able to get it down lane and turn hard into the pocket.  He was doing this with most of the balls there, but this one had added predictability.  Much less likely for him to push past his breakpoint.  We both would have liked it if the house put a sport shot on one of the pairs.  I think this would have done well.

Dislikes:
When I picked it back up later in the set, it lost a little.  I'd say this is a great first ball out of the bag, but as the lane breaks down, you need to know when to put it away.  The carry was lost a little.

As usual the the Gamebreaker doesn't dissapoint.  Anyone who has thrown a pervious Gamebreaker will see that this ball falls right in line with the previous ones.  Super predictable roll you come to expect when throwing a Gamebreaker and a ton of
hitting power.  Out of the box, the GB3 is probably the strongest Gamebreaker that I have thrown. 5 or so boards stronger than my original GB2 or my GB2 Phenom.   It was almost too much for the typical league shot.  Throwing a bit of polish on it, toned it down and really made it shine for me.  This has been my benchmark ball for the past few months as it handles pretty much any pattern with ease.  This is another winner by Ebonite.

Excerpt:
Long story short, just like others have said…get one. The Gamebreaker 3 is a phenomenal ball for all the reasons we mentioned throughout the video. It seems to easily match to any bowler style. It looks versatile enough for many different conditions. The one thing that holds me back even the slightest is whether or not the cover will hold up. Ebonite is well known for their ability to create strong covers. They do soak oil at a good clip. They also tame down. So the question is will this ball perform the same 30-50 games from now? I guess that’s a valid question for any strong covered ball. With that said, you can make your money’s worth in those first 50 so either way, it’s good value.

If you have been around bowling for the past couple of decades, you know the V2 Core.  The GB3 again has the Enhanced V2 core and really defines Shape and Continuation.  The GB3 is a phenomenal ball and matches any bowler’s style (rev rates and speeds and is extremely versatile for many different lane conditions.  This is Ebonite’s most aggressive GameBreaker due to its’ coverstock.  The cover can be modified with different surfaces and it will directly affect your shape.  This is the most aggressive GameBreaker that I have thrown to date, but the shape and ball motion is still very similar. Go out and buy one.  It will be your most used ball in your arsenal.

Thanks for checking out my thoughts and review of the Game Breaker 3!

I don't want to bog down my reviews with copying and pasting all the relevant information of how I deliver a bowling ball and all, so I'll keep this portion brief (all that info is found in my profile). I am a rev rate dominant player who sticks to 2 layouts. With the Game Breaker 3, I went with my high flare layout of 60 by 4-3/4 by 35, placing the pin above my middle finger. When I drilled this ball up, I didn't have as many higher flare options. The predictable nature of this ball coupled with this layout allows for a big shape option on a medium-heavy volume fresh condition. When I compare it to my Tactix, I find the Game Breaker 3 grabs the middle part of the lane a little more with a slower response to the friction.  I've thrown the Game Breaker 3 on a bevy of conditions, and it always has a spot in my arsenal. It is the quintessential benchmark ball.
