Over on the USBC approved ball list has appeared a new ball line from Motiv dubbed: Hydra. I couldn't find any info as to cover-stock or core.
-
International release?
-
I posted about it being approved last week. It is coming here per my guy. I am told Tag line replacement. I will pass on more info when I receive.

Hail Hydra! Hey, someone had to :)

So it's either got the tag core, a new core or a reused core. And lower end cover.
Mystery solved.

The Original TAG not to my liking but the Cannon is fabulous!!

my pure guess, Hexion Hybrid or Hexion Pearl with the Halogen core or a new light bulb core with similar numbers.

Hoping it replaced the Storm Ride since storm isn't doing it yet

It won't be. The FreeStyle is closer to the Ride. My Tag Cannon is at least 5-7 boards more than my Ride was

More intrigued by this release than any of the June/July Storm releases mentioned in the other thread.
-
It has the halogen core with a new hybrid or pearl coverstock.

Another pearl skid flippy ball.

To me it's essentially a re-skin of the Tag Cannon hoping to sell more with the better branding and color scheme. What's interesting is it says the cover is stronger because the cover on the Tag Cannon is already on the strong side

This has the makings of being the closest thing to the Original Tribal, pretty excited for this as a late in block ball.

Might be an interesting piece to go under my INK.

I'm not 100% that it's under the INK

I'd put it stronger than the Ink based on the Tag Cannon. Under the Ink would be the Freestyle or Brunswick Twist

I'll take a Rhino 15 2.53 .030 weaker R-16 cover under the Ink every time. It's where manufacturers miss the boat all use high RG entry level balls. Hustle's are too strong Rhino mid RG is perfect. Big B did it correctly. The others not so much! Tropicals and Twist probably too weak for the majority. Urethane carry down.

Having thrown both, the INK is stronger than the Tag Cannon. It's probably stronger than the Hydra as well.
The POW is stronger than the Tag Cannon too.
