I've had thi monster for about 3 weeks now, and I love it.  I have in my arsenal all four of the Matrix's, Roto Grip SD73 and a El Nino.  This ball is by far superior.  I don't have to hit the ball as hard as with the others.  It gets thru the heads with ease and has a very controlled semi snap-semi arch in the back.  I find that I can use the ball for all three games on a 5 man league.  This ball is pricey but worth every penny.

I wanted to try lane#1's weight block so I bought a Rasberry solid

to get in for a cheaper investment.

I'll just say this.  If the Buzzsaw/Carbide can handle the heavy soup better than the Rasberry I need to see it!  The guys at my lane were amazed.  I'm a 2nd arrow lefty like many of us and they had just oiled.  I immediately had to play third arrow.  The ball is early

rolling and still continuous and angular at the backend.

The Powerkoil 18 cover stock(from Brunswick like the Danger Zone)

can almost be heard grabbing the lane.  Our lanes often have an out of bounds towards the gutter yet this ball treated it like dry!

This ball drilled 4 by 4 compares very favorably with my Pantera

from Ebonite drilled Revs Leverage.  It might be a little earlier

and a little bit more of a constant arc down the lane until its snap down the backend.

I own most of the so called great proactives, Zone Azure, Rock,

Track Enforcer.  None have the continuation that the two above

Reactives have.  But, I do know this I love the lane#1 weightblock!

They've told me I'll shoot a 300 soon with one of their balls.

I'm certain they are right!  Anyone know where I can get a backup of this great reactive??

Just got my carbide drilled up my ball speed is between 15-17 mph 45 degree axis rotation pap 5 3/8" and 1/2" up had it drilled max leverage with thumb weight,1 3/8 top and 7/8 side weight ball revs early on oil and hits on the backend like a truck, I am more of a down and in player and usaully play on 10 down 5 and in. Second night out with this ball shot 215-225-245, I would recomend this ball to any player as this ball goes well on oil and is not subject to the oil problems of the tec2 covers from columbia as i also own a rock solid and after 60 games i can shoot 10 pins with this ball now.Thank you lane#1 for puting out a great ball.

I've owned this ball for a while before testing or reviewing.

A note on my game this year I'm bowling great on long oil patterns with my reactives.  I'm struggling with transitions and suffering with dramatic over/under.  Last year I had hammer reactives drilled control and particle balls.  I'm looking at this ball to help solve the over/under problem I'm having.

This ball came 4 inch pin out and top weight of 4 ounces.  Drilled modified thumb leverage. Pin near ring finger at 4 inches pin to pap.  CG straight down in a 12:00 o'clock drilling.  CG 1 1/2 inches below the grip midline.  Weighthole 6 3/4 inches from the grip center on a line from grip center thru the CG.  Large shallow hole.  Ending weights 1 1/4 top, 3/4 side, 1/2 thumb.

This ball is not a heavy oil monster in the out of the box condition like the AMF evolution Tour.  It is more like a mass chaos or an avenger. Early read and lots of recovery for a particle.  I had tremendous area with this ball.  Almost as early as a track enforcer, jade quantum, rock, or la nina.  But with much more recovery than all of them!  This is the most recovery I've had in a particle ball!

Put against my thumb leverage drilled Pantera, and Hammer 4D(Naturally they are reactive) which were both overreacting this ball recovered almost as well but started its move earlier for more control.

I bowled a little match against lucky jr age 7, his score plus 80 pins and threw a nice little low 600.  Lots of low pin mix and carry.

This may be what we are looking for from a particle.  Early read, lots of control and recovery and big hit!  Currently on medium heavy I'll grade 8.5 out of 10.  Possible upgrade!

Heavy oiler out of the box? no! Great ball maybe? Possibly yes.  Possible great heavy oiler maybe with scotch brite.

Regards,

Luckylefty

PS Lucky JR won averaging 130!

PSS Tested on synthetic fronts wood backs.  Will post more after trying on all synthetics.

Lane#1ers,

A quick update.  Just bowled on a tournament condition where I couldn't believe this ball.  It was a little dryer than I would anticipate using this ball but in practice it was looping inside out so strongly I couldn't put it down.

I had so much area as long as I didn't tug it, anyway I had operator errors.

Four muffed shots in a row led to four straight light splits.  Still had 6 strikes in the game.  Never have I had so much area left(lefty).  Somehow the biorhythems were off and I had 6 strikes in every game and at least 3 opens!

If I had more time I would have entered another squad and qualified and maybe won the thing!

Around me stronger handed leftys and righties were throwing their rocks, total chaos and the like straight up the boards.  Me I was swinging 13 to 8, 7, 6, 5, and striking explosively on all these lines.  This 4" pin out ball in box surface makes this tweener look like a cranker!

They've told me at Lane#1 I will shoot my first 300 with this ball.  I think they are right and it will not have to be thrown that well!  All I need is for a half decent version of me to show up.

Best recovery for a particle ball ever and yet still very even down the lane!

See my post on 02/01/ for drilling specs.

Regards,

Luckylefty

I had my Carbide drilled up yesterday. My pin position is directly under the ring finger with the CG kicked out and turned toward 2 oclock.  The ball is set up to have medium length and a very strong backend.  I bowled on a condition which had heavy oil form 5 to 5 about 38 feet down the lane.  I played the ball laying it on 20 playing out to 5 and the ball had no trouble making it back to the pocket.  The carry was very impressive.  I shot games of 235, 248, and 269 for 752.  Not bad for throwing the ball right out of the box.  The ball had good hold if it was tugged inside and carried the light hits well if played outside a little further.  Excellent ball.

I am a tweener.

above avg. speed and revs!

I just recently recieved this ball from a fellow league member! I had it drilled 4 x 4 1/2. I put the pin just to the right of my ring finger! I took some storm extra polish to it to shine it up. It is a really agressive ball. It starts to roll very early. The ball is very strong so I wanted to take advantage of the strength. This drilling did it alright! This ball does not get through the heads good it reacts as soon as is gets in the slightest bit of dry. I would recommend this ball to just about anyone. It is very strong dynamically, and if you have any hand in the ball at all you will need to move left!

Good Luck and Good Bowling

I purchased a blue solid and found out this ball is not a heavy oil ball some people say it is more of a medium to light oil ball and you still need a good hand in it. Its not the hook monster some say it is. Mine is drilled max leverage and from 5 out to 1 its to much, up the 10 too much skid, run it out to the 5 it will not make it back unless you reduce your speed and add a little crank. My speed is 17-19 mph with very good rotation. I think I'll try the super I thought it would be to much, but after rolling the blue solid "I don't think so"

Recently, purchased this ball used and love it.  On medium to dry lanes this ball is the one to have in your bag.  Used the carbide box condition and throw 9 strikes with it my first time using the ball.  Couldn't believe how good she was to me.  Since, then the ball is treating me with respect.  This is a fantastic carbide to have in your bag.  So, go get one please.

Ball is drilled label leverage. Pin placement is 2 1/4. Finally got to throw this ball. Had it for two weeks and never got a chance to spend some quality time on the lanes with my new Saw, but when I did...DAMN this ball is awesome. On a med. condition with strong backends this ball completely destroyed the pins. It outhooked everything in my bag exceppt for the Super Carbide. Shot 720 with it straight outta the box. This ball has won a spot in my bag.

Just put holes in this baby 2 days ago, and all I can say is Thanx to Lane #1.
I drilled this ball with pretty much a Label drilling, with the CG kicked out just a lil bit.  It is a very READABLE ball, and rolls great on fresh oil.  And like all Lane #1 balls, it simply blasts pins apart.  This is not there must aggressive ball, they have 3 others that outhook it, but this ball rolls great and I am very happy that I have gone all Lane #1 I will be getting my XL tomorrow, and will post up my review of it on Wed.  My scores for the five games that I have shot with this ball are (in order) 198, 246, 239, 229, and 280.  All I can say is if you have not drilled up a Lane #1 ball yet, What are you waiting for?

Well I just got this ball and I have to say that this ball has it's claim to fame well established.  It hooks but it arcs the whole way.  It is very smooth not jumpy, and very very forgiving.  If you miss left it will hold.  If you miss right it will come back.

A buddy of mine threw my buzzsaw because he had always wanted to.  As soon as we threw his second shot, he wanted my ball.  I couldn't believe the smile on his face when he threw that ball.  When we were actually bowling he couldn't average anything less than 255 with this ball.  He will bowl with this ball in another house and I will update how my "sponsered" bowler did.

Thanks for making great equipment.  My goal is to get another one of your balls soon.

Don't be fooled by the particle stock. Those of you who don't like particle, might like this. It is probably the most forgiving ball on the market today. This ball deserves a spot in everyone's bag.
