Counter Strike layout
« on: January 14, 2010, 07:26:22 PM »
I'm going to have CS and wondering, what layout would be better.
I want to have smooth motion without over/under.
Stats - high rev, high track, medium to high speed, no tilt.

Pin one o'clock from ring finger? Cg?
Any advice?

Unless you have a lot of tilt or rotation, the CS is a very smooth ball in any case. I used a high pin, 4.5"-5" pin to PAP, in order to get more backend from the ball. When I added polish and used it on medium oil, it had a pretty strong move for me. Not skid/flip, it may be orettyhar dto that reaction from this ball.

With your high track and very little tilt (no one has "no" tilt!), this ball is going to be very smooth, but with the stock surface, should handle true medium to medium+ (maybe even medium-heavy) oil. I'd suggest a higher than normal pin position. With your high rev rate, maybe something in the 4.5" pin-to-PAP range.

FYI BTM rated the backend of the CS as 14.5. That's very mild these days. That is why I used a higher pin.
