Opinions on the Big Kahuna

Whats some honest opinions on the BK ?

I've read that the ball is not as strong as its advertised to be, so I'm looking for some real world input

My stats are in my profile.

The ball in question is laid out pin below ring, cg stacked, no x-hole.
Not really sure what I'm looking for outta this ball, just wanna see what it will do.

Keep in mind that I've had a Masterpiece, World Class Particle & NS2 turn out to do nothing for me...but I've also had a Big Bang (particle) turn out to be a monster ball in my hands (also has the same drill as the BK in question)

Chad,

  I think you are taking Charlest's opinions and general disclaimer's too literally from what i am reading on this thread. I have 3 BK's two pin over ring's with one of them polished and 1 pin under box finish, these are great hitting balls some of the best i have ever used.

 I am like everyone else with a few balls not working correctly like the MP or the World Class Particle. They are good balls but nothing special to my matchup and game, coverstock's mean way more than anything else nowadays. I love some of the Agent line of Storm and actually dislike one of the balls in the same line. Sticking too the Legends stuff i love the new Black Pearl but do not like the New Standard same core different cover on it, Bk is not going to hook circle's for you even with decent revs and tilt but it will give you great hitting power. Personally for me it is the best ball they make besides the Kong which is flipping beast of a ball get it haha  Kong stinks up the Lanes on too much oil, but if you know when to use this ball it will make you look like you have more revs than you do and hit like a tank as they say.

The ball i never seem to be able to use not because of anything bad is the Buzz, i tend to see too slick of lanes out here in the Vegas for it too work for me. The slick oil and synthetics make it spare ball when i do bring it, if i catch fresh oil with no carrydown i can play it up and in but other than that rarley will it hook more than few boards.

Rememeber Barry's a fluffer!  LOL  I could never get an SD-73 to work.....unless I drilled it long pin to PAP or was a lefty like bass.

Scotts33 in way you are correct, I consider myself a fluffer because my left knee is missing 90 percent of the cartlidge below the knee cap. I get lower revs than i can produce because i cannot truly stay down on the shot long enough to plant myself. I have worked with Bill Hall on balance and other coaches but it is too painful to do this. I hammered off 5 tequila shots friday night, killed all the knee pain and like magic i had my trail leg on my left toe in total balance. I throw the ball well with like Bill Hall says false rev's because ball never reads the lane correctly because of lack losing speed in front of the pocket.

I would hope nobody else would have too ever bowl injured it keeps me in the 195-200 are when i know it should 215-220 plus in  some houses. I will never post a video because my form from lack of balance makes me look like idiot when i bowl. It actually frustrates me knowing what i need to do and physically cannot watching me get outscored weekly.

I was kiddin' Barry.  

This is where some folks if they don't read deep enough into a particular players style and as Jeff/charlest inferred can get the wrong opinion about a particular ball.  I know you are a fluffer and my demise is rev dominance and not enough speed on today's lane conditions.  We all have our foibles or issues.  

And we all are BR buddies.....that's groovyIMO.

I have made fewer purchasing mistakes in the past 4-5 years because of BR.  

At times, Barry I wish I had less revs and more like you.  In the end, it's about putting it in the pocket and carrying.

Chad sorry to hijack but Robb yes it was birth defect, before knee surgery i would just be walking and my knee would colapse from under me. Knee surgery did help alittle bit cleaning out extra torn cartlidge that was floating around but overall it has gotten pretty painful lately with cold weather here in Vegas. I have good basics to my game i have had Bill Hall tell me that i should be able to bowl even with the injury well but it never happens. I do not take pain drugs i do not see any pain difference when i take 1500 mg of motrin or aleve, so why mess up my body from that.

So in a nutshell i throw with late timing never planted at the line kind of bad Holman type ot shot with more speed less revs. I am usually as good as anybody on dryer lanes and below average on oiler lanes from my adapted style of play. Friday night being buzzed from tequila i was loose and able to rev up the ball pretty good, it was something that made me think of drinking for pain but i only drink maybe 2-3 times a year total. Probably just going to live with the pain and not drink to bowl better.
