1 ball? I'd probably lean towards the Track Kinetic Ruby

LH, I would go with The Crow.  Not many to choose from LH and some I haven't used much yet.

RH, definitely my old Blue Warlock.

I am a southpaw but I've never chose a ball based on my being lefthanded. The crow interests me because I don't have any urethane equipment yet. I've read on this thread many who think it's a great ball as well.

Nope, I bowl in 2017. There is no need to limit myself to one ball.

I'm not about to limit myself to one ball. I have one ball that just works better than the others. As far as bowling in 2017, I'm not that fortunate. The house I bowl in was built in 1950 and has A1 equipment and has a lane machine that works sometimes.

>In less than 1 year I've drilled up 8 new balls

About what I have done since fall season started so have company.  Also have company with the IQ Tour leaving 9 on THS.  Tried the Hy-Road yet?  That ball or the Venom Shock may become your new go to ball.  If have a decent size arsenal bury your pride and buy a cheap pancake plastic ball (can get a Pyramid Path for like $40 shipped and really impressed with quality so far) or urethane for spares.  Can't recommend that enough.
as far as  a spare ball that's the only ball I have that's from the year 2000 arsenal it's a blue dot. I think that's pretty good for shooting spares. I've never owned a motiv ball but I here a lot of good things about the venom shock but the hy road is so ledgondary I don't know which one to try first.
Of the two which one first?

I would go with the Hy-Road first as it can handle a bit more oil imo and it hits so damn hard.  Hard to go wrong with either.

Visionary just does urethane so well (in their DNA) and The Crow is so smooth.  Its now not the strongest urethane on the market but its probably the smoothest strong urethane.  Even low rev guys like me can use it on THS.

.

I can only choose between balls that I have used either LH or RH and only with that side unless I use one for each.  I had to start bowling LH for past two years due to right shoulder injury.  I am not a high average bowler either side so take that into consideration, but from my experiences, those are my choices.

I like the Crow for LH because it helped minimize my errors in arm swing or release.  I like the Blue Warlock because in the past 20 yrs it has been a good benchmark ball and I can take it out to the lanes anytime and find a line with it or know if something else will work better either up or down.

Depends if I am bowling on league conditions or have to otroare for s broader range.  League on house shots, and the answer is easy.  Any strong asymetric that you like.  For a broader range of patterns,  there is no easy answer.

About 25 myself.  Finally reached the point I feel full.  If I added any more would probably get rid of some of the old urethane I have gathering dust for most part.  Can throw only so many balls in a month even for fun.
