2 handers are getting no love??
« on: September 22, 2014, 06:19:37 PM »
In the last few months since my return to bowling, being away for over a year, I've been reading negatives on social media and other forums about 2 hand bowling - a lot of haters. Or like, there's a tourney in which no two handed bowlers are allowed to bowl.

honestly, I don't get it. what's the big deal?
Does a round object have sides? I say yes, pizza has triangles..

aka addik since 2003

Xray,

Must be tough on the lanes when you have to wait several days to check your notes.

This new rule was put into effect to try to level the playing field...

Bowling is made up of several groups...The under 30 crowd...and the over 50
crowd...

Now it's safe to say that more two handed bowlers come from the under 30 crowd...

And they do indeed have an advantage...

Now lets just take a typical house...And say it has a Men's  league 5 nights a week...Made up of...The under 30 crowd...the 30-50 crowd and the over 50 crowd...

Now as we all know...The over the 50 crowd can not compete...They can not
win their fair share of pots...And that is why this rule was created...

And it will tick off a lot of younger bowlers...Who just happen to be BOWLING'S
FUTURE...

Now since most leagues are made up like this...All a house needs to do is
create a OVER 50 LEAGUE...

Take bowlers from all their nightly leagues that are over 50 and FORM a OVER
50 LEAGUE...

And guess what...The over 50 crowd will once again be able to COMPETE...And win pots...

And then you combine the under 30 crowd and form your other leagues...

This way the over 50 crowd will no longer just be DONATORS...as they are now...

And this is the #1 reason why bowling has lost so MANY BOWLERS...

What sense does it make to pay $25-$30 to bowl in a league where you
can't win a pot...So what happens...The over 50 crowd stops getting in pots..

And then they STOP BOWLING IN LEAGUES...

And the houses CRY that they have no bowlers...Why...Because most house
owners are nothing more than beer bottle COUNTERS....

All they care about is beer sales...

And that is the truth....

like it or not
