whats up with the.....

.... Blatant over use of superglue on finger grips?  Purchased several used balls over the past couple weeks.  Two in particular were not only glued 360*, but most of the length of the grip as well.  By the time I cut...err pried one grip out, I had broken a sweat....  In hindsight, I probably should have just drilled them out on the press!

It was rediculous.... And I may have cussed 4 or 5 times whiling removing...

I'd suggest that most people are unsure of what they are doing and thus are not confidant in how to approach this minor task. Some respected drillers/pro shop operators here have even suggested that my way, one drop of glue on either side of the grip is not sufficient.

Fresh glue, especially Super-Glue is a very powerful tool and is no joke in its use and the care needed when applying it. Unless the glue is old, the insert, once glued, will virtually never come out on its own. You will need to replace it, because the insert will compress and need to be replaced long, long before the glue allows the insert to come out by itself.

The other danger is that too much superglue will cause the surrounding resin to become brittle and much worse fate that the insert's coming out.
