Ball polish pricing

I just (finally) set up my ball spinner & wet sink.

What's the best priced polish that's still decent for the money?

I've never really disliked any products that I can remember, so brand don't matter.

I'll be experimenting and practicing on my own equipment to start...just seeing if anyone knows any deals or closeouts..

On internet web sites,
Motiv's polish is as cheap as I've seen. You get 16 oz. for $15 +/-.
Most other polishes you get 6 - 8 oz. for $10-12.

I have no idea what you can get in pro shops.

If you buy the quart size, you usually get a better deal. Not sure anyone but a pro shop needs the quart size.

Jeff is right. Motiv polish is probably the least expensive on the market and is a quality product. Buddies Pro Shop sells it a great price.

Motiv power gel is one of the better values for cleaners as well imo.  Huge fan of Reacta Shine with its built in cleaner but it is pricey if don't go the quart route.

My favorite is Meguiar's  mirror glaze swirl remover 2.0. I found that it polishes better and the shine last longer tan any polish that I have used.

Don’t forget their not all the same.

Motiv Polish is sort of a matte or flat shine.
Storm Reacta Shine is a rubbing compound and high shine.
Some are for hand use, and others for machine use, more lubricant.

And others include cleaning compounds, to clean and restore a polish finish.

I like the Storm Reacta Shine personally, and very happy with the results.

Agreed, I have a spinner set up now so it'll be spun

Also I throw Utah products so probably Storm stuff will be what I get

I have played around with ultimate quik cut and have good success so far.

When I want a mirror polish nothing beats Beans especially for polishing urethane and glad I got a big bottle before Ritchie cut and run but now I ration it pretty strictly.  Someone has to buy that from Ritchie as it was about the only thing of value he had at the end.

Car polish is fine to use, you just want to stay on the more abrasive end of car polishes.  Paint is much smoother than any finish you can actually use on a ball. 

You won't find much difference in Storm's Step 2 and 3M's Super Duty rubbing compound, besides the price.

 Three automotive products I’ve used with success are Turtle Wax red rubbing compound, Turtle Wax white polishing compound, and 3M Finesse.

 Using the compounds ALWAYS required a good cleaning once the desired finish was achieved to remove any excess compound or waxy residue.

 The modern ball specific polishes aren’t as bad at leaving residue, but they don’t seem to really be all that more effective than those automotive products mentioned, they just don’t seem to need as much “aftercare” as those do.

My PSO recently switched from Powerhouse factory polish to Brunswick Crown factory polish because of a price increase for Powerhouse from the distributor.
Question:  Are these two polishes basically the same?  Or is the Powerhouse factory polish more abrasive than the Crown factory polish?  I have used Powerhouse factory polish for years and don't want to use something that is not the same or at least very close.
Your expert comments please.  Thanks.

When I last used Brunswick Factory Finish polish before it became Crown Factory polish (99% sure they're the same, it was slightly more abrasive than Powerhouse Factory Finish polish. I repeat, slightly. There wasn't a huge, night and day difference between them.
But, I too, preferred Powerhouse polish and still do. It is easy to use, you can get a light shine or a strong gloss, as yo wish. Very adjustable stuff.

If you wish, Powerhouse is available online from many dealers. It comes in the 6/8/10 oz size (whatever the small size is) and the quart size.
