How much do those of you who do your own surface maintenance spend on supplies (cleaners, polishes, abrasives, etc.) per year?

I purchased the Quart Bottles of: Magic Shine, Factory Finish, Delayed Reaction and Clean and Dull, All of which are about 3/4 Full.

I bowl 4 Leagues a week and maintain my stuff regularly.

For full surface changes Pads last anywhere in the range of 10-20 balls.

Thanks for the dollar figures, guys. Which items would you say you spend the bulk of your funds on? And, if no one minds, could someone give sort of a break down on what you spend on?

Ex:
Abralon - $30/year
Cleaners - $10/year
etc.

energizer cleaner 32oz from buddies proshop: $32 usually last 1 year-1 1/2 years
factory finish polish 32oz from buddies proshop: 34.50 usually lasts 2 years
abralon: every 10-20 balls, you can buy i think packs of 3 for like $18 at buddies

those are in order of what i use most

I think you are looking at this from the wrong direction.

The biggest outlay of cash is during the initial creation of the supplies needed for your spinner. I'd estimate that figure to be anywhere from $100 - 200 depending on how thorough you wish you to be.

The yearly supply is much more dependent on how many balls you own and how many friend's have asked you to do theirs and how much you charge them. If you do your own and only your own, I'd estimate the yearly expenses  to be around $50 replenishment total (and I think that number is very high). Again it depends on how much you bowl and how many balls you use how often.

Once you know what you like or what you need, you buy them in quart bottles or packages of 10 - 20 pieces. These tend to last years, for personal use.

Personally I do not ask true friends to repay me for the use of 2 or 3 pieces of sandpaper or the initial use of an Abralon pad or a dollop of polish.

Who knows when you'll want to try out a new polish, a new abrasive pad or a new liquid.
