A Suggestion!
« on: December 02, 2004, 12:29:47 PM »
Not too long ago (perhaps a year) I wrote and suggested to all that they try the new AMF balls. Since then I've bought a FEW myself. The balls are actually EXCELLENT.

Recently in a number of my leagues in three different Centers I've seen bowlers using LANE MASTER products. At first I thought it was just the conditions then I saw the balls used in a different Center getting the same results. I was impressed. Asks around in the neighborhood PRO shops and the prices mirror imaged those from LANE1. NOT FOR ME.

I continued to see the balls in action and I got more and MORE interested. Checked around and found a more realistic price for the ball and BOUGHT IT (NEW)!

These balls are the BEST I'VE SEEN! I bought the NEW STANDARD. I have it drilled where the PIN is approximately a half inch above and about one inch to the right of the ring finger. The imbeded dot (probable the CG) is in the center between my thumb and finger holes. The ball rolls long and has a nice snap at the pocket. This ball leaves NO SURVIVORS .. the pins going flying!

I know the balls are not approved by the PBA .. but I doubt I'll use them in that arena. I've read where there were suggestions that certain balls would increase your average .. I'm willing to bet that anyone who uses these balls will be VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR AVERAGES!

Excellent balls! Think of them the next time you think NEW BALL!

Though I've never thrown Legends/Lanemasters/AZO myself, i've seen a bunch thrown and am going to order a Yeah Baby, L/L/A does have some reactives in their lineup.

The Absolute Power and the Satisfaxion (if you can find it, look around) are both reactives.  The AP is a pearl and the Satisfaxion is a reactive solid.

Satisfaxion

Coverstock: XPR Reactive Resin
Ave. Flare Potential: 4.5"
Particle Load: None
RG: 2.61
DRG: .041
Hardness: 72-74
Box Finish: High Polished
Color: Ruby Red, Gold
Hook Potential: 7 (scale 10)

This info was taken directly from www.legendsbowling.com

also! while there I was looking at the Yeah Baby! and their information states that it's a Heavy load particle, yet everywhere else i've looked and heard says it's a Light load particle...

my teammate loves his new standard and has been converted(after about 10 yrs) to lanemasters from ebonite.. it has replaced his aggression and has that early roll but with more recovery
