Good job ESPN...
« on: July 07, 2012, 01:39:25 PM »
Well, for those who were waiting to see the Summer Shootout start at 2pm EDT, that doesn't look like it will happen for the moment.  Wimbledon has the priority right now.

I can understand Wimbledon having the priority but could someone with any amount of common sense try to schedule this at a time when there would be no conflict of this type.

Even better- the PBA website has the results of the first show.  Good move PBA- don't you know that ESPN didn't even show it and will not show it until tomorrow on ESPN2?

Are we shocked by this? I've seen college basketball preempt bowling.

The PBA really needs to find a new TV Network.

This just shows how much ESPN thinks of bowling.

I just sent in a complaint to ESPN.  Maybe if they started to hear more complaints, it would help to let them know that there are still some people who watch or want to watch bowling.

Got a reply already to my complaint.  Here is the response (x'd out their name):

Thanks for contacting ESPN.
Schedule changes happen in live sports more frequently than in any other time of programming. In this case, the PBA event was pre-empted due to the Wimbledon coverage running long. It is generally our policy to remain with live action until its conclusion, but you can still catch the PBA tomorrow, July 8, from 2 - 4 p.m. on ESPN2.
 Sincerely,
 xxxx

Maybe they should go to NBC Sports Network, which used to be Versus?

Does this surprise you? Look what they did with Classic Sports Network.
