Very First Demo Day
« on: February 13, 2009, 03:31:01 AM »
So today on my lunch break i ran up to the alley to throw a couple games, and remembered my pro shop had ebonite demo balls so i grabbed a few and tried them out a game a piece. i demo'd the one pearl, ebonite magic, playmaker, and  the pin slasher, here are my observations i want to see if anybody else has the same opinions on the balls. i was in a hurry so i didnt get a look at the specs or drillings really. all shots on THS obviously

Ebonite Magic:
This ball is amazing. i loved the feel of this ball. in oil or in dry it was very controllable. if you toss it out to the dry it just roars back to the pocket. i didnt leave 1 corner pin no matter how deep i got. if i moved right and threw straighter it held its line in the oil but playing up the boards did not go well. brooklyn every time. so you def need some oil and some room. love the reaction and love the power and predictability.

The One Pearl
For me i got a similar reaction with this ball that i did with the magic. both went long and came back hard. didnt get too many in with this ball a pin got stuck somewhere in the ball return and it got messed up so i had to give it back dont ask i have no clue what happened lol. but sunday ill throw it again

Pin Slasher
Def. my favorite for the day. this ball for me is flat out strong. it'll hook in the oil, toss it to the dry it makes a nice hard controllable arc to the pocket. its just amazing smooth. i love the roll and im the skid snap kinda guy. ball revved up early and did not quit. this ball has no rollout or quit in it. in the oil it just shines and i mean thats when the ball shows its true colors because it seems pretty unnaffected by the oil still rolls good and even when i didnt create the perfect angle it still carried the 10.

Playmaker
Now this one i couldnt get too much of a read on. i like its move its a hell of a ball but i personally didnt match up well with it. left a few 10's from deep left some 4's. not a bad ball at all when i hit the pocket right its golden. a hell of alot of forgiveness but not necessarily alot of recovery maybe i dont have enough hand to get it back but just what i noticed for me.

anybody else have similar experiences with these balls??
