I used to be on here from 2004 to 2006 and hurt my wrist and gave up the game. Got back into it this summer and was just under 190. Still throwing my old original Inferno (love that ball).

Started Winter league and picked up an ebonite cyclone courtesy of the hav-a-ball summer league (my excuse to go down from 15 lbs to try a 14lb). Got it drilled today. Threw my inferno 1st ball just to see the lanes, 3-10 split. Ok. Started with the Cyclone, next 2 frames little high with the 4-7..then have the next 7 strikes for a 246. Not as strong as the inferno, but we don't see much oil here. The house I shot in summer puts out some oil (shot 623 Friday night subbing there with the Inferno) but my new regular house hasvery little oil, so this should do fine there.

So, give me an option similar to my old Inferno with new equipment, and would the Super Natural be the dry ball?

My old specs with 15Lb was 12.5 mph ball speed and 250 to 275 revs.

If you want to stay in the Brunswick line, I would suggest an LT-48 for drier lanes. The LT-48 has a larger core to help keep the rotation through the pins and will easily get through the front part of the lane when they start to dry out. As far as a replacement to the Inferno, I would think that a Mastermind Genius or the new Mastermind Intellect would be a good option for a ball with an asymmetric core. Or, a Melee Cross or Brute for a ball with a symmetric core.

Contemplating a Roto Grip Outcry or Motiv sigma sting...leaning toward the Motiv now for medium conditions. Don't think I will need more than that here for ths.

The Sigma Sting is a damn good ball.  It's versatility makes it one of those balls where the people you're bowling against will wish you were not throwing it.

Ok...sounds like the Sigma Sting will be my med. ball. Just got the Ebonite Cyclone for med/light and the Supernatural will be my dry ball.

If I see more than medium oil, will deal with that when the time comes.
