What is everyone’s favorite pba tv commentating duo? Mine is the espn duo of denny schreiner, and mike durbin from the 80’s and 90’s. No brainer for me. They told it like it was, didn’t play favorites, had great knowledge of the game, and also had a great sense of humor without over doing it. Just started giving this some thought with the new fox deal coming, and was wondering who will be doing the commentating for the fox shows.

As a duo, Mike Durbin and Earl Anthony. Billy Welu is also on top of my list.

Randy is also pretty good as an analyst but today's TV format takes away from it.
There is too much audience noise (unnecessary incessant ,screaming and shouting ), coupled with the fact that today's bowlers' attire is too cartoonish and loud. It's bowling, not studio wrestling.

Marshall Holman and... hmm. Who's the black gentleman for Xtra Frame? He's ok. Dave Ryan was ok to listen to. Randy can be annoying as shit. I unfortunately can't remember commentating from the pre-2000's. Maybe if I go back and re-watch some of the shows.

BuddiesProShop's youtube channel has a BUNCH of old shows. Some of my favorites are the Dick Weber Classics (94 and 95), the Hilton Hotel Classic and Oregon Open.
