I want to subscribe to some, which are the best? I don't care about spending some coin, but don't want to waste it. I see Bowling This Month is online only, and Bowlers Journal is a actual magazine, I assume it's a monthly publication? Under the subscribe section it just list the number of issues, but doesn't say if its monthly or bi-monthly? I could be missing something. Please share your thoughts. Thanks in advance!

I have subscribed to Bowling this Month since the very beginning.  I find it to be very informative on just about every subject related to being or coaching a bowler.  That includes the physical game, techniques, practice, and the mental game.  Unfortunately since they have gone to online, the number of "new" articles has decreased.  Often they reprint an article from years past, and list in the title what issue it was take from.  They always keep up with the latest equipment and give fairly sound reviews, although after a while, even they seem to get quite repetitive.

If you haven't read their articles before, I would definitely recommend Bowling this Month.  If you have been a long time subscriber, I would be 50/50 on whether you will get your money's worth.

I think Bowler's Journal is still monthly.  For me, I find this magazine to be much more oriented to Bowling Proprietors, and those interested in the politics of bowling.  They do have ball reviews, and maybe one article on drills or practice tips, but it isn't really geared to self help.  The Bowler's Journal has an online publication in addition to the magazine.

Just my 2 cents, other's mileage may vary.

I sub to BTM as well. I think it was 2003 when I first had the sub till 2006. Then just last year, I sub to the online BTM which is even better. I can read articles anywhere and any time with my 6 plus.

Like mentioned, some are old articles from the past, but I still enjoy reading them.

For the past year, I have subscribed to BTM---a pretty good online magazine. Most of their articles have been recycled and are not new, but they are still helpful and are nice refreshers. BTM ball reviews are OK---not as good as Tamer Bowling ball reviews but no bad.

I subscribed to BTM around July/August of last year and haven't regretted even though it's an online magazine. Very informative and generally easy to read. I also enjoy the ball reviews that it provides.

Dean hintz and John jowdy are a few whom I enjoy reading. There are newer stuff to read too, and to have this online library in the palm of your hand is wonderful.

I was seen reading BTM during leagues and I joked that I was getting tips from it. I ended up with a nice game over 260. Then he asked what I was reading that may have helped me out.... I told him the ball review of the ball I was reading. Hehehehe
