Has any one bowled against them?

I bowled in a tourny this last weekend that had these in and on top of that, it was a sport shot. There were 50 or 60 bowlers counting re entries, and there were only 3 or 4 people that were plus for 6 games. I think plus 28 was high qualifier. I qualified at -136 and was 14th but due to reentries and no shows got to bowl in the finals. Took top ten.

Any how, they make the most peculiar sound when you hit them. Kind of a ping. Sort of like the sound an aluminum bat makes when you hit a ball. They are also quite dead. In fact, someone actually got a messenger and a roar went up from the crowd as it only happened once. I heard rumors of a second one but can't confirm.

I wonder how much of the scoring pace was due to the pins or the sport shot? It seemed that you really had to hit the pocket solid with great roll or they would not fall. A double was good a 3 bagger was better and more was exceptional. Spares were crucial because you could not strike your way out of an open. Splits were common as you had to hit flush to high flush and the transitions were not forgiving because the 4 would not trip or it would stand with the 10. Move early and it was 2 8 10 .

Oh, the field was as strong as my rural area can field as some folks came out of Nebraska such as Tom Kelly Jr and SR, Tony Manna, Rich Abboud, and Jay Watts(he won). There was a Very good lefty that made the matchplay in Omaha when the PBA was there also but I can't remember his name. Don Breeden was also there. Maybe the names don't mean much but I would consider them a threat to win any event they enter.
