matching up with the core?

I bowl mainly at one house with 4 to 6 tourney's a year. Likewise, the tourney's are always at the same houses (out of town) and the stadium. I've been doing this for almost 10 years.

Over the years I noticed I do well with "light bulb" type cores, and the last few years my two main ball combos all had these types of cores. from the track slash to my current lane masters power strike.

Am I limiting my ROE in my bag? (range of equipment)

I'm pretty sure majority of you have different types..but is there a core type you prefer?

Many cores are still fancy appearance light bulb cores.  DV8 used one in the Nightmare series, the Nexus series as well. If you get bored look through all the current balls out.

The lightbulb core has been a sure fire bet for all manufacturers since they started putting cores in the balls. It is very easy to drill up one of these and get a smooth, predictable arc from the ball, or a skid/flip reaction with the right cover/layout. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Keeping things simple is a factor too why I stay with these types. Even my layouts these days are 4 - 5.5" range placed in the RUQ zone.

If you're only bowling in the same places every year and patterns aren't changing a lot or at all, just stick with what works for you

Yeah that makes sense. they've put down non THS shots at the others houses, but nothing crazy. The local tourney's it's always a THS shot, unless it's at cooks bowling center.
