Usually, I just skip threads about "no tap" scores. Glad I looked into this one because it really isn't so much about "no tap" as it is about throwing the ball decent and still getting nothing for it.

I will always remember one night, many years ago. My friend and I always had small bets on our individual series and, since we bowled together, we always knew what the other was doing.

He threw virtually every first ball shot into the pocket, while I was a little "hit and miss" that evening. Thing is, he had TERRIBLE carry that night, and anything that even got close was striking for me.

He threw the ball "better", yet I beat him by over 100 pins total. He shot only 540 something, throwing nearly every first ball shot in the pocket, while leaving something nearly every frame.

Solid 9's, solid 8's, fast eights, wrap tens, pins sliding across the deck and staying up, you name it and he did it that night.
Learn to laugh, and love, and smile, cause we’re only here for a little while.

Terrible carry, bad entry angles, and the wrong ball in my hands.  I am at fault for 2 of those 3 things...

I feel a little better today after matching up a little better and scoring higher on a higher volume and somewhat challenging 5:1 shot.  I even won a pot.  Back at it tomorrow on a 4:1 shot...maybe the tighter they get, the better I'll get (chances are not high though).
