can anyone tell me the difference between a 3in pin and 4in? other than an inch will it make much difference? will the ball go longer? all my other equipment is 3in  i got a new ball today with a 4in can i have i drilled to match the break point i get with my other balls? thanks. sorry if its a vague question

If your ball driller knows what they are going...any pin between 2" and 5" can be used for any ball motion desired.  The people who say 4" pins are better than 2.5" pins don't know core manipulation and only know copy/paste.

3-4" not so much. Especially for asymmetrical balls. If you go from short pin (.5-1.5") to a 4", it will affect were you might place your weight hole. But the placement you're referring to, no there wont be any real affect.
