Solid Balls That Retain Energy
« on: July 28, 2016, 08:31:50 AM »
I've bought many solid balls over the years and most of them hook too early and don't finish hard through the pins.   I wanted to start a list of solid balls that have excellent back end motion and which aren't more than 3 years old.

1. Storm IQ Nano.  Gets through the heads clean and make a huge move on the back end.  There is no quit,

I was impressed with the original Guru.  I saw that thrown the other night.

I'd vote the Motiv Covert Revolt.  That ball flat out continues through the back and doesn't die out.

My alpha crux with a pin above the bridge, and 4000 grit finish makes as hard a back end move while retaining energy as any ball I have every thrown.  It gets down the lane better than a Lock with the same surface prep and is way stronger on the back.  It gets down the lane similar to my Paradox, also with similar surface prep, but is again stronger on the back end.  Very unique for a ball with such a heavy roll characteristic.

Radical Ridiculous is the centerpiece in my tournament bag as it is both clean through the fronts with a strong move off the back, yet does not slip in oil the way that pearls often do
