Stat tracking app for iphone
« on: April 19, 2015, 10:16:14 PM »
Any thoughts on the various bowling stat tracking apps for iPhone?  I see there are quite a few out there, but looking for the best one for the money (if there is one).  All thoughts and suggestions appreciated.

I have changed to Pin Pal, and am pretty happy.

The Perfect Game App is not working with the updates.

There are some freebies out there: Best Bowling Free. Can't complain about it - its free.

I also like and used Best bowling Free. It's comprehensive and tracks stats very well.

I appreciate the suggestions and I'll give them a test run.  Any others that have not yet been mentioned?  If not, what are some other methods do you use to see where your problem areas are?

what are some other methods do you use to see where your problem areas are?

well, for this last season, which was my first after a year and a half layoff, I struggled on single pin spares. After the first half I was 78% in single pin spares. I wasn't trusting my game, so during the holiday season I worked on it. My second half improved to 98% spare conversion. 168/189 or 88% to end the seasson.

I couldn't say the same thing with my Multi pin spares (not including big splits) I'm a sad 66% spare player!!!!! This included baby splits 5/7, 6/10, 2/7, etc.... and baby splits with multiple pins combo0 that are makable. I struggled all year with 3,6,10 leaves...so sad. 12/20 or 60%

Another stat track is the "First Ball Average". I went from 9.07 first half to 9.25 second half. The season average is 9.16 pins FBA....So having an app like this can help me know what I need to work during the summer. Likewise, I can now make a practice plan for the summer which includes seeing my coach if he is available.
