Never bowled on this before...Med Speed, Med Revs can play most areas of the lane....In general how does this pattern play? What is generally the the ball service for this? Im thinking of bringing Guru Master, Dark Legend, Vandal, Motiv Tag and Wrecker.

I was just about to post the same question.  My summer scratch league just decided to bowl on Sunset Strip for the first half of the league and are still deciding what pattern we will bowl on the second half.  This is the blurb I found:

SUNSET STRIP – 3240 | This 40 foot pattern uses Kegel’s reverse drop brush function and places oil on the lane in four board strips. Some lanes may allow certain styles to play the outside strip while others may find the middle or inside strip the best. With a great performance and a little luck, you too can be a star on the Sunset Strip.

I personally like the pattern a lot. For me, I start with a smoother low differential ball towards the outside and then move inside after transition with a stronger asymmetric. There's plenty of opportunity to score

First, thanks to Scotts33 for sending me a link to some suggestions from Mo on how to play this pattern.  Mo's comments are:

Here's the real answer about reverse oil. Reverse oil controls the amount of oil in the front part of the lane. Forward oil controls the shape of the pattern at the end of the pattern. The more reverse oil in relation to the forward oil, the longer the pattern last and the smaller the transitions. Read the pdf and find the corner of the red bar. Subtract 3 and that's where your breakpoint should be to start. Take the length of the pattern minus 31 rule and shove it. Not accurate. Do your homework!
Look for the highest corners of the red bars on the bar graph and subtract 3. That's the place to start with the breakpoint. Remember that the loads are applied to the buffer brush, so ALL the forward loads affect the breakpoint.
The corner of the red bars is the tallest bar on your side of the lane. On very tough patterns, like Turnpike, they are hard to find. Those are the toughest patterns.

Sunset Strip is unique. You have three corners for this pattern. They are at 5, 9, & 13. Pick your poison.

I keep looking at the pdf's and I don't see red bars but I'm probably missing them. I got to practice on Sunset Strip last night.  They put it on 4 lanes and only 3 people showed up so I got to bowl by myself and tried out many different balls and lines.  Being by myself I didn't get to see what happens when there are 8 guys on the pair burning them up but that will come.  These are the balls I tried:
Phaze 55 x 4.25 x 65, Hy-Wire 65 x 5 x 55, Remix 60 x 4.25 x 65, Deviant 60 x 4 x 25 and Desperado TSE 45 x 5 x 30

My stats are in my profile but I throw the ball slow and I have high tilt.  The Phaze and Hy-Wire are way too strong for this pattern for me.  I couldn't keep them on the right side of the pocket.  I was able to get the Remix in the pocket but that's probably because it rolled out and was doa.  I was able to use the Deviant but had to be real careful because it didn't give me any room for error.  The Desperado TSE gave me my best look.  The best line for me was standing on 30, targeting 15 at the arrows out to 8.

After we bowled for about an hour and a half all 3 of us moved to one pair and bowled for score.  I used the TSE, another bowler used the Lock and the third bowled with a Marvel pearl.  I had the best look of the 3 with the TSE.

I'm thinking as the mids get burned up by all of the young-uns that I won't be able to get the TSE thru to the proper breakpoint .  I'm looking at some other weaker type pieces like the Match pearl.  Can't decide on whether I want to go with a 5"+ or a 2" pin to pap.
