Does anyone know where to buy the kits? I did a quick search and only found where online pro shops make them themselves. Thinking about buying a kit myself because no pro shops in my area do them, and I don't want to keep trying to oval out the slugs by hand.

My proshop uses Vise Exactated Thumb to create inserts.

Most distributors have the kits.
