Tournament Arsenal Estimate

If you where going to a tournament without knowing what shot would be out there,  what kind of arsenal would you bring and name the usage.

One heavy oil,  one light oil/spare ball that doubles as a med to light oil ball.  (Strike king) 

3 balls for medium oil with a varriation of surface. 1000, 2000, and likely a 4000.

Usually 5 total,  some times 6 depending on the bags I use.  Typically end up using the spare ball and one or two other balls total.

Fun question IMO: 5 balls.

Not knowing the shot and with my game being limited revs I would bring two heavy oil balls:

Brunswick original Mastermind and DV8 Ruckus.

Next would be the medium oil things:

DV8 original Dude and Hy-Road Pearl.

Plus of course a spare ball, or something with less hook that I can convert a corner pin with confidence (or as much as possible confidence).

T-Zone or original Melee. This depends on my mood when packing and how I have been converting recently.

I've been limiting my arsenal to 5 balls for tournaments on all sport shots (regardless of length):

Strong asymmetric solid drilled to hook a lot
Low RG symmetrical solid drilled to be smooth
Strong pearl or higher RG solid drilled to snap hard on the back end
Mid level low diff pearl for control on less oily conditions and on the back end
Plastic for spares

IQ Tour Nano or Marvel-S (heavy oil), IQ Tour Solid, Marvel Pearl, Punch Out, Plastic spare ball.  All balls will have OOB surfaces and IQ Tour Solid will be the benchmark.

Spare ball is the most important.

Pin down Equalizer, pin up Venator Pearl, polished Dominion, pin down Control layout Photon, most volume to least.

I would bring 5-6 balls to any tournament that I do. Here's what I would bring (which is most of my arsenal):

Heavy Oil- 716T
Med/Heavy- Mean Machine
Medium Oil- Forza (Benchmark ball)
Medium Oil- Power Machine (longer length)
Light Oil- Recon RX1 Silver (spare ball)

With my current arsenal I'd bring 5 balls, 4 if the spare ball doesn't count. The B.W. Legend, B.W. Red Legend, B.W. Assassin, and Viral. My plastic ball is one of the most important parts of my arsenal. Spare shooting saves lives!!!

To tournaments, I usually just take my whole arsenal via a 4-ball bag and a supplemental 3-ball bag.

Columbia Antics (Med-Heavy)
DV8 Endless Nightmare (Heavy)
Elite Echo (Medium-Benchmark)
Elite Treason (Medium with carry down)
Radical Torrid Elite (Light-Medium with Carry Down)
Lane#1 Pearl Stealth Bomber (Light)
Spare Ball (Spares and/or Plastic Ball pattern)

Right now I have a 5 ball tournament arsenal which includes my blue hammer that doubles as my spare ball.  All symmetrical equipment except Black Widow Legend.  IQ tour solid is sort of a bench mark ball.  Marvel pearl and Cobalt Vibe fill out the arsenal. 

On house shots I use my Byte, or the Legend and my Blue Hammer.
