X Outs question
« on: October 18, 2017, 09:16:06 PM »
Just won a ball off EBay, said was midweight but listed at 16.3# with 3 1/4 top. Is that considered a mid weight? Ive only dealt with midweights like 15lb13oz etc. I think the 16.3 is kinda high but I can drill max lev with big weight hole to make legal right?

X-outs can be nearly any defect.  In this case, it appears it may have been a total weight flaw that is going to make it a bit problematic, but not too bad.

As long as you drill enough weight out that it weighs 16lb or less after drilling you should be fine.

Depending on how the manufacturer does it, the .3 part could be either 3oz, or as much as 4.8oz.

3oz is not hard at all, but 4.8 could be problematic. Make sure and weigh it out before drilling to know exactly what you are trying to do.

Best thing to do as mentioned is weigh it. It's listed as 16.03 but many times total weight and top weight on boxes are wrong.
