Pretty good summer so far. I rolled my first 300 game in the 20-teens. I had a chance to sub in a 4-person match point scratch league in what is normally, a good scoring house. Started out with a MoRich mania and found the shot playing much flatter than what I expected. Leaked a ball outside to 5 and watched it take out the 6-9-10 in the first frame. Came into ten and watched it go high. Generally searched around for a few frames just filling frames. Watched the team stroker pipe the ball up nine, keeping the ball around the pocket. So I switched to my pin down MoRich RipR and worked the 12 to 8/12 to 9 area. Struck on 3 of 4 final shots in the first game. Then proceeded to flush the first 11 shots in the second game. I leaked the 12th ball out to 6 or 7 at the break point but it made it back to a low mixer strike to finish out the 300. A little more satisfying considering the session league average was 10 pins below the league season average for the night. All told, this was my fifth sanctioned 300: One in the early 80's with a Yellow Dot, one in the early 90's with a Teal Rhino Pro, two in the late 00's with a GameBreaker and LM/L Black Diamond, and now one in the 10's with a RipR. Both the Black Diamond and the RipR were layed out using dual angle layouts. Special thanks to Mo Pinel as my current equipment rolls better and more consistently than any I've ever rolled.
