Covert Revolt
« on: January 11, 2018, 10:07:26 AM »
I have a chance to drill up a Covert Revolt.  Not sure if I should drill it or sell it.  I currently have a Rising and Ghost for the heavy stuff, a Shock and Graffiti Tag for the medium and the amazing Tag Cannon for the med/dry conditions. Not sure if or where the Covert Revolt would fit in my arsenal. Really heard great things about the Covert. I am just not sure if I need to drill it. I do see a pretty big gap between my Ghost and Venom Shock.  I am thinking that is where the Covert would fit. Always value every bodies opinions. Glad I switched over to Motiv.

I have three Coverts still, don't use them a ton, but they always travel with me to tournaments.

It's long been my start a set ball, blends the front to back so well and goes through the pins great. I typically swap into a Venom Shock when I need more downlane shape as patterns transition.

Sometimes I see a gap between my Ghost and my Shock.  Thinking the Covert would be a perfect fit for me. Leaning more and more to drilling this bad boy up.

The Ghost is almost a full arrow stronger than the Covert Revolt(for me). I say drill that baby, it's a fantastic ball.

As for selling it, they pop up on eBay from time to time, usually listed in the $230-$300 range. I haven't seen one actually sell for that amount as yet, but I could have missed it.

100% that's a big gap and the covert fits perfect in that spot

Drill it up.  That ball goes anywhere I bowl and it's great as a step up from my Sigma Sting but still below my oilers.  I absolutely love how continuous it is in back but still gives me a very smooth shape and predictability.
