Description: The Forza Redline uses the same Torx Core as the original Forza. The coverstock however, consists of the new Helix Pearl Coverstock. The Forza Redline also again uses the MOTIV Badge logo, which gives it great shelf appeal..not that a yellow ball needs anymore help!

Reaction: This release is very simple...it's a benchmark ball and it’s designed to be used on all but extreme conditions. The Forza Redline is meant for many scenarios:
1) Light to light/medium oil balls are too weak, or
2) Heavy oil to medium/heavy oil balls are too strong, or
3) Angular balls are responding too fast to friction, or
4) Smooth balls are responding too slow to friction
My first layout (60X5X35) is the cleaner and faster responding down lane of the two. The second layout (70X4.5X60) is one of my more favorite even layouts, though still plenty continuous. So far I like this layout a little better as it provides the ideal shape for a benchmark ball.

Comparisons: The Forza Redline is very well complimented with other balls in production by MOTIV. To start, the Original Forza is earlier and smoother, but only barely stronger in overall hook potential. Next, the Octane is a little cleaner and provides a faster response to friction, but is weaker in terms of hook potential.

Summary: Every ball that MOTIV currently produces surrounds this benchmark ball. Whether you're looking to enhance your current arsenal or start an arsenal from scratch this ball is a necessity. It's that ball you throw to start practice before competition, because it reads the lanes so well and dictates what ball you should be using.

Motiv has this to say about the Redline.
Push the limit with the Forzaâ„¢ Redline.  Engineered for medium oil, it is the ultimate machine for benchmark performance.  It provides more length than the solid Forzaâ„¢, yet it still offers more control than the Octaneâ„¢.
Being a benchmark ball, competitive bowlers will certainly use the Forzaâ„¢ Redline to gauge the lane pattern.  On a typical house shot, because the ball is so versatile, it will match up well with a wide array of league bowlers.
I find this statement to very true.  The Redline is a little cleaner through the front part of the lane and a touch quicker off of the friction than the original Forza.  The Redline will be a great benchmark ball on medium patterns for me.  Along with being a great performing ball the Redline is really cool looking going down the lane.

Forza Red line is made for medium oil conditions. The Torx weight block is what really makes this ball awesome. It easily revs up in the middle part of the lane, allowing this gem to be a great benchmark ball. The pearl cover allows the Red Line more motion on the back part of the lane then the solid. This is a great ball for just about any house shot as it will not quit once it finds the friction. On sport patterns, I can easily get the Red Line through the breakdown in the fronts. However,  the core allows the ball to still read the patter and get the proper skid, hook, roll critical for proper pin carry. This is a must for your bag!

Review:

The Forza Redline is the latest release from MOTIV Bowling. The Redline is a medium oil monster of a ball that brings together the Torx core that was first used on the original Forza and the new Helix Pearl Coverstock. With these two together, the Forza Redline bring more length then what we saw from the original Forza and more control down lane than from the Octane. The Forza Redline will become your next benchmark ball because the Redline is very versatile and you can play any part of the lane and all walks of bowlers will love the new Forza Redline.

INNER CORE            Torx
COVERSTOCK          Helix Pearl Reactive
FINISH                   5000 Grit LSP

Comments:

First time I through the Forza I was a little hesitant. Reason being was I loved the original Forza but for me it was more of a situational ball that I barely through it. Though I love the shape, it was something I have never seen out or a bowling ball, I really used it on high friction, short oil conditions. But after the first few shots I was in love. The Redline gave me what I was missing from the original Forza. I provided me a little more length and little more retainable energy when transition forced me inside. The Forza Redline gave me the same shape as the Forza but just that little extra at the end put it over the top for me. High Rev players who felt the same as me about the Forza are going to love the Redline while lower rev players will love the Redline for the same reason I stated above.

Likes: Nice length, controllable motion and excellent continuation through the pins.

Dislikes: None.

I recommend the Forza Redline to all styles of bowling.

Ball Specs and Layout:
Helix Pearl Reactive
5000 Grit LSP
Torx Core
2.7” pin, 2.7 top weight
60x4x75 w/ P3 hole

Bowler Stats:
Rev Rate – 425
Ball Speed – 17 mph (down-lane)
PAP – 3 ½ over, ¾ up
Right-handed

Test Environment:
42’ THS

Review:
I tested my Forza Redline against the original Forza. It is such an easy 1-2 combination with each other. When the original Forza is a little too strong in the front part of the lane, the Redline gets through with ease. The continuation with the Redline is unreal. I quickly realized how many different parts of the lane I could play with using the Redline.

Likes:
Versatile coverstock
Continuation and more continuation

Dislikes:
None

Summary:
The Forza Redline brought me back to when I first started throwing MOTIV. The original Thrash was the first MOTIV ball I owned and that went with me everywhere. There isn’t anything not to like about the Redline. The cover is great both shiny and sanded. You can play multiple parts of the lane with it. I still haven’t found anything that this ball can’t do.

Specs:
15.03 Lbs
4 pin
3.5 top

Layout:
Pin to PAP: 5-1/4
CG to PAP: 3-3/4
Pin over bridge with the CG out and weight 2 inches down from PAP

Test Environment:
Lane Surface: Pro Anvil
Pattern: 40FT Medium to Heavy House shot with friction between 5 and 10.

I was bowling a doubles tournament with a buddy and it was the first time i threw this ball out of box. It was strong in the midlane with a nice continuous backend. It reminded me of a benchmark ball shape and look. I threw up the outside and it responded to the friction down lane pretty strong. Then i move into the track and threw it out down lane and it recovered very nicely. The best look i had was when the lanes went through transition and the lanes settled down lane. I was able to square up and play right inbetween the wet dry. I had the last nine in a row for a decent game. The only weakness i see with this ball is playing when the fronts are slicker. Of course you can alter the surface but why not use the Original Forza instead. The Redline will be my benchmark ball and will always be first out of my bag. Thanks to Brett and the guys at Motiv for another great ball.

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc):THS

Layout 35x41/4x45

Left handed

Tweener

On the THS I found the Redline to be a little over/under with box surface. When using it with box surface it was to stong and would check up early in the track area or it would not recover from moving into the middle of the lane. With experimenting with different surfaces I have found that keeping this ball fresh at 1000 works very good on most THS. Changing the surface has made the redline a very smooth but still an aggressive ball motion with continuation through the pins.

Rev Up Your Benchmark

Looking for your new benchmark ball?  Look no further than the Motiv Forza Redline.  By combining the controllable Torx core (2.50RG, .051Diff), first found in the Forza, with the brand new Helix Pearl Reactive coverstock (finshed at 5000 Grit LSP) a ball motion has been created that gives excellent read on the lanes without sacrificing hitting power.  I drilled mine the same as the benchmark that I was currently throwing, the Sigma Sting, to test this ball’s mettle.  Upon throwing them side by side I believe that the Redline is a great successor for this spot in the ball chart.  The Redline clears the heads easily but once in the midlane you can really see the Torx going to work.  I see the ball start to read without hooking too soon thereby giving me an accurate look at how the lane will play.  When it comes time to transition from roll to hook the ball makes a strong but very controllable motion to the pocket where it drives through as though it lost no energy at all.  Though a traditional pearl the ball is not unpredictably flippy which makes it very forgiving on the fresh and transition alike.  While both the Sting and Redline have similar characteristics for me, the Redline hooks a bit sooner therefore giving me several more boards of overall motion.  Whenever the lanes get tough and I need to control the pocket this little ball of sunshine will be just what I need.

Forza Redline Review
I was really looking forward to this ball coming out. I have been looking for a benchmark Pearl ball from Motiv. When this ball came in the mail I instantly knew what I was going to use for a drilling. My favorite Benchmark drilling is 50 X 4 X 50, I feel this drilling gives me a true roll and allows for the ball to work strong and continuous.
So this is what I have found with the Redline, I have a mid lane roll that is controllable yet still makes a strong motion. The redline has no issue with getting through the front. What the Redline does like is a spot to throw it at. I have been able to play pretty much anywhere the lane tells me to with this ball. I have used the ball playing out on a short pattern with heavy volume. I have used this ball chasing the league pattern left on a second shift. The one thing I have noticed with this ball as long as the back part of the lane is not completely mush this ball has no problems going through the pins. What this ball is not does not do well at least thus far is play on longer heavy patterns, again that is not the design of the ball.
My overall review of the Redline would be, this is the first Pearl ball out of my bag! I feel as though where some of the other releases in the line have been to much "hurry and get to the spot so I can Hockey stick Motion" this ball is not that. The Redline is truly a ball that will allow you to know what is out there, if you either need to ball up and see more hook. Or the opposite, ball down and find something a bit cleaner through out the lane. I am truly looking forward to utilizing this ball through out this season and will be one of first balls out of the bag for any Tournament.

The Forza Redline is the latest pearl reactive ball released by Motiv. The Redline utilizes the same Torx core found in the original Forza but is wrapped in a new Helix Pearl Reactive cover stock providing a little faster response to friction as compared to the Forza.

The Redline is a versatile ball for various lane conditions as it provides the same smooth transition as the Forza but with a little more length and a little more backend reaction. When the Forza starts to pick up too soon, I can switch to the Redline and continue playing the same area. The Redline is outstanding on wet/dry conditions or broken down patterns when you need some length but also when you need control in the backend.

I drilled my Redline with the pin down below my middle finger, cg kicked out a little with a hole in the P2 position. This layout still gives me length and smoother than expected response in the backend. I can throw the Redline on fresh conditions or late in a block during regionals. It's nice to have a pearl ball that gives you length but doesn't turn left in the back. This ball is a must for any tournament bowler or if you struggle with today's wet/dry league conditions.

Likes: Ease through the heads, strong move off the friction

Dislikes: Slightly allergic to carry down and/or heavy volume patterns

I was looking forward to this ball not as a benchmark, but as an option when I need to go around a pattern. So far, this ball has fit the bill!!

I drilled mine as a 60 X 4 1/2 X 30 to accentuate what I was needing in my arsenal. When I need to get into the middle part of the lane and go around the pattern, this ball is my first choice. It gets to the spot easily and responds strong off the friction.

In my opinion, it is slower response to the friction in comparison to the Tag but quicker than the original Forza.

This ball will make it into the car every trip I make this season.

The MOTIV Forza Redline... Now this has been a piece I have been waiting for! I must admit first hand

that the original Forza was not my cup of tea. Although it was not a poor piece by any means, but with

the type of house shot I bowl on and it being second shift league play, the success was very limited. I

would be able to line myself up to reach the pocket without difficulty, but by the time it would reach the

pocket, the energy would be burnt up. The 7 pin and I became close friends for a time while I trying to

tweak the Forza. Enter the Redline, let just say that the 7 Pin and I began going our separate ways... with

me tossing it back into the pit with its other friends.

The Redline, although building off and continuing the Forza line, offers a more conducive ball reaction

for my style and the house pattern I face on a weekly basis. It continues to provide the controllable

reaction that was favored in the original Forza but provides a bit more length lending itself to become

much more versatile on the lanes. With the added length, the Redline now retains energy to provide

stronger down-lane motion that allows for better pin action on the deck to remove the 7 PIN out of the

equation. In the recent changes made to my local bowling center’s house pattern, normally a smoother

with little length has always been my bread and butter to maximize score, this is no longer the case. To

better assist those who have lower ball speeds and need to lanes to hold up and maintain that “Up 10”

line, for someone like me, getting the ball retain energy down lane has become a necessity.  Within a

week of having my Redline being drilled, I was able to end my honor score drought by posting an 805

series. Benchmark piece is the perfect word to be associated to the Redline.  The Redline for me actually

provides a very good compliment to the Primal Remix if shelling down is the way to go when the Remix

is just too strong for the lanes that night. By switching to the Redline, I’ll be able to actually maintain a

similar line to the pocket with control and predictability.

If you are trying to reduce the number of bowling balls you are carrying into the bowling center and in

need of a benchmark piece, the Forza Redline will not disappoint. The one thing that bowling has taught

up and the success of the pros, versatility leads to longevity and consistency.

I personally loved my Original Forza, so I was super excited about this release. I drilled my MOTIV Forza Redline with my favorite drill (55 X 4 1/2 X 40) in which puts the pin just slightly over the bridge right in the middle of the fingers. Which is the same drill as my Original Forza. I have been doing things a little bit different with our new releases. Instead of writing my reviews before the release, I decided to give it some time so I can get a get true feel for the balls strengths and weaknesses. I love how much cleaner through the fronts the Forza Redline gets compared to the Original Forza. The Redline is a great compliment to the Original Forza when the the lanes force me to play a little further left and the orginal Forzais to forward in the backend. The Forza Redline could easily become anyones benchmark ball just for the simple fact that it is so great on medium lane conditions.  The Redline out of the bag as a benchmark will immediately help you read the lanes. I can play multiple angles with the Redline but what I like most about it is the pin carry. I feel like I always say this about Motiv bowling balls but they just seem to hit so hard and keep the pins low for maximum carry. Of course ball choice is not the only factor in pin carry but I feel like when I am matched up correctly, I can strike all night. Another winner from Motiv!!! It's time to Get MOTIVated!!!
